A hidden (kind of) gem! My girlfriend used to live in Paris in 2002, her mother and grandmother before she so she has been visiting since she was a baby and she and I have been visiting frequently since 2010, we always stay in the sixth or the 18th, unless we are at a hotel, so we have been to countless places on Rue des abbesses, avenue junot - we used to have a New Yearâs tradition of visiting lâhĂŽtel particulier.
My girlfriend adores salmon and tuna tartare, which we can usually only find in summer, so she wants to find it every single day when in Paris over summers, which is not always easy, even at our favorite spots that we visit routinely. We skipped the first place we found it as it was very touristy and very well lit, and I assured her I would find it elsewhere before we went back to the 6ieme. Luckily, I stumbled upon this place, the tartare was absolutely phenomenal, and their Caesar salad, my always favorite in Paris, equally amazing.
We liked it so much that we promised ourselves we would return again before leaving on that trip, which we did - unfortunately, the Caesar salad was out, as was salad in general so they gave potatoes instead, which is a necessarily up our alley, but nevertheless, we just got back to Paris and Iâve been saying we need to make it there, again from the sixth, before we leave back for London...

The service is friendly and attentive, always with a smile, and the team goes above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable. The dishes are fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor â you can feel the care and attention in every detail.
One of the highlights is their flexibility: you can even request special items that are not on the regular menu, such as cĂŽte de bĆuf, by ordering a few days in advance. This allows you to enjoy personalized meals perfectly tailored to your tastes during your stay.
Frequented by locals and filled with life, Le Village captures the true spirit of Montmartre. Perfectly located on Rue des Abbesses, it offers a lively, welcoming setting that embodies the charm and soul of Paris. A must-visit that I...
Read moreFamily of 5 (2 adults a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a baby) we sat down for lunch and what was supposed to be a quick stop turned into 1m5 hour sit down due to sudden heavy rain. We ordered 2eals of the day as the kids had already had lunch earlier. The food was good and we had no issues. But after we left the waiter followed us and accused us of stealing their glasses. I have never felt that humiliated in my life. Why on earth would we steal water cups that are so old amd stained????? What made him think we are so desperate as to steal cups? Is is because we are a mixed black family? Is it because we didn't buy meals for the kids? It literally destroyed my mood and my day to be accused like that. And of course they ended finding all their glasses accounted for. This is a horrible way to treat customers especially ones with three little kids already...
