MURPHY'S HOUSE — Restaurant in Paris

This is the first ever review I'm leaving on Google as I was absolutely shocked by the attitude of the staff at this place today and I believe the future customers deserve to know this before visiting. I came with a friend and we wanted to order one drink for her and a main for me. The waiter started arguing with us when I asked for tap water and forced me to order a drink instead. I ended up ordering an alcoholic drink after which we were told that we had an hour for our table before the next booking. However, in about half an hour we were forced to leave our table in a disturbingly rude manner, and when we tried reminding the waiter that he'd told us that we could have the table for the full hour, he refused to talk to us, turned his back and said some stuff in French which we didn't understand. I’m really impressed with this pub, it is the perfect fusion between a Parisian bar and an Irish pub. The decoration is classy, music is great, food is excellent and portions are decent (by decent I mean you really eat, you don’t just taste the food). I couldn’t believe the price either, it’s really good price considering the location and the quality of the place. I left the comment about the service to the end because it was the cherry on top: I hate to eat around that area because it’s always so full of tourists and waiters tend to be rude or pushy but Murphy’s is a completely normal pub where you can have a good time. My friend lost a bag and this lad came running all the way to the metro to tell him he had forgot his bag, the kindness of the staff was too notch!! Go raibh...

Hi, my husband and I , we like traveling a lot. And we do that. We have been living in London for a long time and customer service is very important, no matter where you live. Very nice location and pub... BUT one big minus for the “lady” KALI (definitely not for working with people). She pushed my husband at the door (first impressions), miserable face, bad attitude, throws things on the table, etc. We are not that so desperate, nor is anyone to "endure" such a bad service... but we stayed thanks to the great guys (perhaps the spelling is not good) Julien and Arno. Sorry but shame for such a beautiful city and location to treat ppl like this...
