Read moreIt’s our fourth time here. Before coming here we always book a table in advance. This time the staff was somewhat serious, not smiley and didn’t look friendly. When we came here before, we were lucky to have one and the same waiter who was friendly, smiley and could recommend food and wine. This time we had a different waiter and it was not that welcoming experience. She was not rude nor friendly. Just serious and may be tired . Before she served us and we were waiting at the table for someone to bring us the menu, one waiter in a national wear was coming by telling: “I can not serve you because …” we could not hear the rest of his speech:))) It was a kind of confusion! Though at the end of our meal he took out our empty plates:) What was it?:)All in all everything was ok: food ( apart from elargy which didn’t meet my expectations since it was not hot and was not stretchy) traditional music and dances. The restaurant has a terrace overlooking the river and the city. The place is ok if you want to try Georgian traditional food, such as khinkali, khachapuri, shashlik, kabab, vegetable salad, grilled fish, see the view, listen to traditional music and watch Georgian dancing. Though you can happen not to see smiley and friendly faces of...

After we landed in Tbilisi at the end of our first day, we stumbled upon this unique restaurant. Without a reservation, on a Monday night around 8PM, we got quite lucky to get the last table available.
The staff was very friendly and helpful to explain the various, for us unknown, traditional Georgian dishes on the menu. We decided to order Pkhali and bread as starter. For our main, we shared Khinkali's, the Oyster mushroom Ojakhuri and the pot-fried chicken. We had 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine and 2 bottles of water.
Overall, the food was very tasteful and a good first impression of the Georgian cuisine.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere complemented by many live performances throughout the evening. (Traditional Dancers, Singers and in the end even a DJ.) The only downside was the high volume of the music during those performances, which made it difficult to have any in-depth conversations on our date night 😉. (Although this might not be an issue on the outside terrace)
