Khinkali Pub — Restaurant in Tbilisi

The place is like a dance club: low lights, dark atmosphere, basement floor with no windows, huge bar and very loud dance music. But it happens it is for eating. Strange combination if you want to eat and chat with someone. Or maybe is exactly what you are looking for. Just my personal opinion. We ordered the fried Khinkhali and were fine. We also ordered the shkmeruli Chicken, which is with a garlic sauce, but didn’t taste like garlic at all. I tried this dish at other places in the country during my tour through Georgia, and I am sorry to find it here as the worst. Unfortunately disappointed for the sauce. My girlfriend had some sort of food poisoning after having dinner here. We had the fried Khinkali, the shkmeruli chicken, french fries and a glass of wine each. The wine arrived in around 15 mins, and the french fries just at the very end when we were about to stand up and leave. There were only two people working in the whole place, and we were told that food orders would be in 40 minutes.

The staff (two people) was professional and helpful. We could see they were a bit overworked, running back and forth to attend everyone.

For the questionable Chicken Shkmeruli, the delayed Wine and fries, and the terrible digestion/food poisoning of my girlfriend I can only give 2...

I approach your restaurant with the highest expectations expectations founded on your standing as one of Tbilisi’s premier dining destinations. The culinary execution is undeniably outstanding; the kitchen delivers with precision and artistry.

Yet, the service I experienced was an unprofessional anomaly that undermined the entire operation.

I ordered multiple dishes. One was incorrectly delivered. Upon correction, the waiter, rather than rectifying the error discreetly and efficiently, chose to engage in a confrontational dispute, questioning my clarity on my own order within the sanctity of your establishment. This is unacceptable.

Moreover, after receiving the correct dish, the incorrect plate remained on the table untouched a visual reminder of the mishandling. The ultimate breach occurred when I was billed for the erroneous dish. Despite my explicit refusal to pay for an item I neither requested nor consumed, the waiter refused to amend the invoice, stubbornly insisting on payment and escalating the argument.
