Read moreI was a bit hesitant to write this review, but I do believe that what goes around, comes around. I walked in right about closing time, sheepishly asking if I could still get something to go, because I respect people in this industry. I was a server for years. The hostess was super warm, showed me a menu, and she ushered over what appeared to be a manager, who was more fluent in English. I told him I knew it was close to closing time but wondered if I could get something to go. He said the kitchen was closed, but I could get something cold, like a salad to go, and also I was welcome to order something from the bar, which remained open. I said that was great...and perhaps could I get something really easy like some dumplings to go also? He said no, which was understandable. I asked him if he happened to know of any nearby restaurants that were open late. "No," he said, without hesitation. (I later checked and found that there were many 24 hour restaurants in the area, within walking distance). He said 'you're welcome to come back during regular hours and enjoy a meal here'. Okay, I said, thanks, but for now, may I please order a salad to go. "No, he said. "The kitchen is closed." I said "wait, didn't you just offer me the option to order a salad to go?' "No", he said, "the kitchen is closed". Um...okay...strange! Please, don't say one thing and then change your mind and then pretend you never said the previous thing. I was polite the whole time...there is no reason for this. The locals here in Tbilisi have been extremely kind, but this man was not a part of the kindness tribe. I will not...
Read moreAt first I thought I'm gonna write a good review, but after visiting for the second time, My mind changed completely! From 5 stars its going to 1 :( First time the staff was so wonderful and helpful, treated us with smiles and tips on food, food was wonderful, wine as well ,this was on 31st December.
We visited again on 2nd January. We seated and grabbed menus ourselves this time, as no one approched us 15 min. Had to ask several times to take our order. Then had to wait again for the first appetizer 10 min and for wine glass 20 min :( The cheese bread came and it had long black hairs under the food. We could not inform them as they never approched or looked our way. Staff just tried to ignore as many people as possible, not only us. Every time we approached them, we were ignored or scuffed off. At one point they said cards are not working, we were informed the atm is just 200 m away. After we got up, asked how much everything was, also notifying and showing the hairs on bread. They just looked annoyed with us and complained in georgian. We said we'll go out to find atm. A random guy (maybe the owner) ran after us when we were already standing next to and atm, i guess checking on us finally.
Overall they ignored us, served unsanitary food, treated us with hate but when it was time to pay they gave full attention but were still extremely rude. Such shame as first time...
