Istanbul Doner Tavisuplebis — Restaurant in Tbilisi

I just ate here with a friend. Food was indeed really good but I would never go back again because the attitude of the lady was really bad. The waiter who was serving us was nice but there was some old lady who was really weird. While we were still drinking tea, she came and started cleaning the table. Then she asked whether we had paid the bill or not, then after paying she took the receipt in a very arrogant way. We asked her, how much was for Döner, she said I don't know what you other in a rude manner and went away.

When we didn't understand the bill, we asked the waiter, who was serving us, to explain to us the bill so we know how much we paid for what. Then she was unable to explain, another waiter came and she was also a bit weird. Then that same old lady came and brought the bill saying you paid this, here is the receipt. She said in a very rude manner, like we were asking for something unusual. Later she was telling the waiter as advice that just give the receipt, in a way that she did some super cool job. I hope young girls will not learn this nonsense behaviour from her.

We ordered Kebab roll with chicken and beef mix, chicken is 9.50 GEL and beef is 14.50 GEL. And if you order Beef, and ask to add the chicken they will charge extra 4 GEL which is also Ok. If you order chicken and ask to add beef then It will be extra 6 GEL. This is where there is a problem, we asked for chicken and asked the waiter to add beef also so technically we should pay 9.5 GEL + 6 GEL for beef but we paid 14.5 GEL + 4 GEL for chicken. Generally It is not a big problem, mistakes happen but the attitude of the old waiter was like we are eating here for free.

I would recommend this place only for take-away not...

When you go into a Turkish restaurant, you expect an authentic experience, hospitable service, local decor, and outstanding food. Then you realize you have walked into a Turkish so called restaurant that’s actually a fast food with double the prices. That’s the experience we had in a few words. They charge us 23 gel for a diner kabab in a takeaway fast food shack? This is a major tourist trap!!

The service was slow, when we ordered ( you have to order yourself, no table service). The worst part is that the bread in the large and the extra large was the SAME size yet the difference of price was five GEL! The packing was good, but not at all sustainable! A box, then a paper wrapping, and then another wrapping given in a plastic bag? Are you unpacking a treasure or a highly processed food? The doner kabab was stuffed with mayo, you couldn’t even taste the chicken , much less the other veggies. Not at all value for money, completely overpriced, opposite of sustainable, poor service and atmosphere, and a commercialized version of a diner kabab. A complete tourist trap, which has a piloted menu and the sandwiches are filled with MAYO , making it not authentic. A fast food Turkish joint, serving not at all authentic foods, with non hospitable service, at sky high prices, in such a good location. What a waste of space! Tremendously...

Halal 24 hour Restaurant in the middle of the city. Restaurant itself is very spacious and can accommodate many dine in customers. Originally, we weren't hungry, but because we didn't have dinner , we were looking for a small bite, light food. So, we decided to order 2 soups, 2 ayrans and 1 salad to share only. We paid 28 Laribwhich is about $11. After that we were told that they don't have salad, so we asked for a small doner instead and paid the extra remaining balance of 1.5 lari. The food was soooo delicious, especially the doner. OMG. We loved it. On that happy mode we decided to order tea as well and a desert. So, we, NON hungry people, ended up ordering and eating everything till the last crumb these items 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻: -2 lentil soups; 1 small chicken doner (we asked to cut in a half); 2 ayrans; 2 teas ( tea was made with loose tea leaves, mot tea bags); 1 rice pudding.

Prices were much cheaper than other shaurma places, and teated much-much better. Bathroom was very clean. There is Wi Fi. The waiter was super nice. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it 100 starts 🌟 🌟🌟
