Kreuzburger — Restaurant in Berlin

TLDR: €8-9 Kreuzburger with a Black Angus patty and house fries tasted dry and stale. Will give it another shot at a different location as people swear by this burger.

Kreuzburger was a huge disappointment. I ordered the Kreuzburger with Angus Beef and extra cheese, with a side of house chips. The appearance of the food was great, it looked like a great burger, but this is where the positives end. When grabbing the burger, I noticed that the outside of the bread was crunchy, which is not a good sign as its usually done to mask stale bread. After a closer look at the meat, it was clear that it's a pre-formed patty, which you can buy in bulk and is in most cases a cheap cut from a Black Angus cow.

The first bite confirmed my first suspicion, the bread was stale. The flavour of the beef was cheap. If compared in a blind test against a Burger King patty, you wouldn't be able to taste the difference. After having finished the burger, my attention gravitated towards the fries. A plus that they used skin on fries. While the outside was very nice and crunchy, the inside of the fries felt quite dry. Either they are using the wrong potatoes that shouldn't be used for deep-frying or they were frozen for such a long time, that the starches broke...

Great place to eat. After travelling all day we went to this place, since it was right next to our hotel. The prices where quite cheap for what you get (I think between 3-4.50 Euro for a regular "small" burger, and for 3.50 more as a menu with fries and softdrinks) I think my wife and I spent around 14 bucks for a regular and a veggie burger menu, so not much more than you would pay at McDonalds. The small burgers where surprisingly large and more than enough for both of us. Both burgers were quite good, not THE best burgers we ever had, but still some of the better ones I ate. The good thing about this place is beside their wide range of regular burgers they offer quite a big selection of vegetarian and even vegan burger options. If you want a fast food burger in Berlin, rather spend a few Euros more and go to this place rather...

I always eat at this place. Food is always good. I should unfourtonatly give 2 Stars because of the person who was taking oders today(8.11.22) at 21:30 . This guy made us wait for 10 minutes without taking our order and not even saying "Hallo or hi". After that he told us rudely it will take longer. I asked "how long?"he said again rudely "8 minutes", though the place wasn't even half full and I haven't had such service on days where it was really full. Moreover, he was speaking with the guy working with him aggressively and in a rude way. We decided to leave because of his attitude. I think this guy is new, coz I haven't seen him there ever before. I hope People who cann't deal with customers shouldn't ...
