Unfortunately I had a really disappointing experience. Ordered the Carbonara pizza -- the egg is described as slow-cooked, but I received the pizza with the egg white still transparent (in my opinion, the egg could not be considered cooked at all).
I asked to have the pizza cooked more, but the pizza was returned to me and I was told this is how the egg is supposed to be and they can't cook it more (no reason why except "it's supposed to be like that"). At this stage, the heat from the pizza had turned the egg white slightly more opaque, but most of the egg was still transparent jelly.
I didn't want to eat uncooked egg, and I am pregnant, so it is also not safe to eat uncooked egg. I told the staff this, but it took two more conversations with two different people before they were willing to try and solve the problem (they also refused to remove the egg from the pizza, another solution I suggested).
After the second conversation, I asked to speak to the manager to try and get to a resolution (and got shamed for asking that -- "Oh wow, you want to talk to the manager?! Okaaaay") but the staff finally offered the solution of a new pizza with no egg (it was a shame to waste the existing pizza, but as they didn't want to cook it more, there didn't seem to be any other way of getting my pizza in a form that would be safe to eat as a pregnant woman).
The new pizza without the egg was pretty good (hence the 3 stars for the food), but really hard to enjoy after being shamed for what I consider to be a fairly reasonable request -- especially as the...
Read morebest gluten free pizza I've ever had and by some margin. Honestly you can't even tell that it's gluten free apart from the lack of that wheaty aftertaste - definitely not by the texture which is deliciously crispy on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside, like the best pizzas. And if you've had 98% of gluten free pizzas out there or have made them yourself, you'll know how great a compliment that is. They're mostly dry and tasteless and crumble in your mouth like burnt ash. How exactly they've managed to do this eludes me!
The one with buffallo mozzarella is especially good. It's not cheap but when you get this kind of quality it gets difficult to argue with the price. I'll be coming back here as much as I can afford it (which unfortunately with these prices isn't that often but what can you do)
Update: unfortunately just waited 10 minutes in the line when I saw this sign outside advertising "gluten free slices". I just wasted all this time because there are no gluten free slices! Only big whole pizzas, so this is false advertising (the guy inside said it was supposed to be two different things but then it's extremely unclear!) I have so little time it was really frustrating to wait so long in the queue only to find out they don't have what they advertise outside, which is the reason I went inside in the first place :/ so unfortunately I have to deduct a star or...
Read moreReally out-of-this-world - so amazingly good! The pizza is next level - an amazingly soft, yet perfectly baked and crispy on the edge pizza crust, fantastic cheese, and they even have flowers to add on the top! Also tried the vegan pizza - genuinely the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Perfect crust, just the right amount of marinara sauce, so that you just get the flavor but so that it’s not overwhelming, baked so that it sits on the bread. The servers are so nice, polite, accommodating, and understanding. I made a mistake with my order, and they even let me replace my order free of charge. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, coupled with fantastic service and tables laid out in the restaurant that encourage socializing if you wish and can deliver privacy if desired. There are two or three tables that seat multiple people and many that seat two or three but are very spacious. Accommodates all tastes, flavors, and social preferences with delicious Neapolitan pizza. Cannot...
