It was a normal Brunch, breakfast, cafe style place but the essentials were on point. They had WiFi provided right on the menu. Clean restrooms, which isn’t a given in Alexanderplatz. And the variety overall was pretty decent. The waiter was friendly, always had a kind smile and direct eye-contact. And right when we entered we got our seats assigned.
The only thing is that of course, as a student I wished there were power outlets but that is more secondary, but since it’s a hot and humid summer, some fans here and there or air-conditioning could have made it more beardable for a longer period of time, but we were lucky it was raining outside, so it was partly cooling off. I liked the Spring Lemon Lemonade it wasn’t too sweet imo. And we went for the Bubble waffles the chocolate one with Oreo, very tasty. I personally even liked the bagels. I had the...
Read moreI loved the Karamell Frappe but I am sad to say the service is just awful. First the waitress forgot my carrot cake and at the end when my friend and I wanted to pay the other waiter who started making jokes of our Spanish was charging us more than it was showed in the menu so we asked for the reason and he was rude to us saying it was a mistake from the waitress and then he asked directly to include a tip saying in Germany is mandatory to pay 10% for what we answered that is not the case when we don’t like the service received and also he didn’t even serve us, nothing made sense, then when I showed my card to pay my frappe he was making fun of me because I’m paying a small amount with a card and he asked me to pay cash then again I refused and he got angry started yelling, I paid and we left the place as fast as possible. Never...
Read moreThis place has very rude staff, particularly a male waitress who was aggressive and displayed microaggressions towards Black women. He spoke to us in a very rude tone, telling us that we needed to change our seats. We explained that we had chosen those seats, and he responded rudely screaming, "This is not for two people.''
We decided to leave the place and report him to his female colleague. When we told her what happened, she told me to "calm down." We then decided to walk out, but the man followed us outside and told me to 'go to school', a common stereotype implying that Black people are uneducated. As a Black woman, I recognized this as an act of racism.
For the record, I have a law degree.
I wouldn’t even give this place one star if it were possible to post without...
