Not one to complain (or leave reviews at all to be honest) but this one of the worst experiences of going to a restaurant I have had. We had walked in without a reservation on a busy Friday night but we was very hungry and we was told there was tables and was walked over to a table situated next to the men’s toilets and next to where the staff would collect drinks to take to the tables. We constantly had people walking past going into the toilet and if not staff hovering around our table collecting drinks, not exactly what you want when you’re trying to have a nice meal. I wouldn’t even feel the need to complain at this because we just wanted some food as we hadn’t eaten all day. We purposefully ordered easy food (wings, nachos, wedges, mozzarella dippers etc.) this took over an hour to come out and we both had ordered and finished 2 drinks while waiting for the food so we decided to make the decision to not order anymore as we was so disappointed and was genuinely thinking of just paying for the drinks and leaving. The food came and was also disappointing. Nothing particularly bad about it but it was all clearly just frozen food that would take 10 minutes to put in the oven at home. No sauce on the wings, no sauce for the mozzarella dippers etc, just seemed like there was no care in serving the food. Our waiter was rushed off his feet so we felt bad for him as he was clearly getting frustrated as he could see we was. However after we raised our complaint with him, all he offered was an apology, didn’t offer us to speak to a manager, offer a free drink, or take any money off the bill, which having worked in a restaurant is pretty standard practice especially if you’ve been waiting over an hour for food (never mind basic finger food).
I would suggest this would be fine to visit if it was a weekday and wanting some simple food, but if you’re looking for a good level of food and to be actually catered for on a weekend, avoid here. Advice to the restaurant, if you can’t cater for...
Read moreWhen I think of bad customer service in Berlin, Mio Berlin immediately comes to mind. It's an Italian restaurant in a prime spot, right under the Berlin TV Tower. With such a central location and stylish decor, you'd expect a great dining experience, but unfortunately, the reality was very different.
From the start, things went downhill. There was no one to greet us or show us to a table, so we wandered around awkwardly before seating ourselves. When I asked for recommendations, it was clear the server was more interested in upselling the priciest items than in understanding our preferences.
When the food arrived, the disappointment continued. The bruschetta, for instance, came with soggy, flavorless tomatoes that were completely unappealing. But the worst part of the evening happened when my friend noticed her drink tasted different from her previous visit. Instead of fixing it, the server shockingly told her to get up, walk over to the bar, and ask the bartender to make it the way she wanted. We were both baffled by this response. To make matters worse, as she approached the bar, she nearly slipped on a puddle of water that had been left unattended, with no reaction from the staff. They seemed completely indifferent to both the mess and our experience.
Overall, the whole visit felt chaotic and unprofessional, and the dismissive attitude of the staff left a lasting impression—for all the wrong reasons. This is one dining experience I won’t be forgetting anytime soon, though not...
Read moreAn unfortunate Friday evening unfolded at this establishment, marked by a series of disappointments. Opting for a pair of classic cocktails, the Singapore Sling and Kir Royal, accompanied by matching shots of whiskey, our evening began on a disheartening note. A lengthy 30 minutes transpired before our initial contact with the staff, necessitating an unorthodox wave to secure their attention.
Regrettably, the wait extended another 20 minutes as our libations arrived, albeit with an erroneous mix-up of cocktails. Patiently enduring, one of us endured an additional 20-minute delay for the correct concoction. Addressing this issue with the waitress proved futile, met with a discourteous response asserting the matter was beyond her concern.
Eventually rectifying the mix-up, we discovered a disconcerting dissonance in the whiskey servings; one glass notably outweighed the other. The ordered side dishes, promised to complement our experience, materialized a painstaking 1 hour and 10 minutes later. Dishearteningly, the cocktails failed to meet expectations, displaying a lackluster quality, while the whiskeys exhibited a troubling dilution akin to the adulteration of the original Jonnie Walker Black Label.
In conclusion, this establishment falls far short of recommendation, marred by prolonged service delays, mishandled orders, and a regrettable lapse in cocktail and...
