Food was lovely, service was not. Was told it would be a 15min wait for a table, and to wait upstairs at the bar which is no problem we went and got a drink at the bar and it was a 15 min wait. No issues there. Then when we got to the table at 19:37 we were told we had the table for 1 hour for food. Had we been told that at the beginning of the 15 mins we wouldn’t have stayed and waited. We sat down at 19:37, it took 12 minutes for someone to come and take our order. We didn’t receive the food until 20:16. As per as the screenshot below. At 20:32, 16 minutes after we received our food we were told we had to leave, that they needed the table. We still as you can see by the photo hadn’t finished our food. I told the lady who worked there this, that it took so long to receive our food and order, she walked off and ignored me. She saw we clearly hadn’t finished eating. We were then handed the card machine without the bill. I said no, I want to see the bill. I was not paying for something without a receipt. The bill stated we were at the table from 18:52 which was incorrect. We had only received our drinks upstairs at the bar at 19:27. So again, it was incorrect. They should not have offered us or given us the table if they couldn’t accommodate us. It’s plain and simple. 16 minutes to eat a main course & pay. Absolutely no consideration given for their lack of staff and extremely slow service. The food again was lovely, hats off to the chef. But the service was subpar. As I passed by, I saw a sign indicating happy hour, and the establishment was bustling with patrons, which appeared to reflect a positive atmosphere. We were seated without delay, and the gentleman who showed us to our table engaged in conversation, making us feel very welcomed. However, when the server arrived to take our drink orders, the situation rapidly deteriorated from that point onward. I requested a dark draft beer, while my companion continued to study the menu. The waitress promised she would return shortly but ultimately did not come back. The host and manager realized that our table was lacking drinks, prompting them to take our order. Our selections included a dark draft beer once more, a cocktail, Falafel, and a Pizza Margherita, which the menu explicitly indicated came with fresh basil. Our meals were served by a different waitress prior to the drinks. The pizza lacked basil, and the beer was not dark in color. Upon inquiring with both the server and the manager, we were told that the pizza was delivered in that manner and that the basil was part of the sauce. However, that was not the case. My friend went to the bathroom, where the stalls lacked toilet paper; however, there was genuine toilet paper by the sink intended for hand drying, which disintegrated into nothingness upon being utilized. Consider how large and complex an approx. 200 seat restaurant's kitchen has to be. Now consider all the elements that need to be managed to keep the kitchen running: staffing, logistics, food hygiene, communication systems, traceability, allergens, etc. I think this place has over-reached with the number of seats it has and how extensive the menu is. The place does have a huge number of staff, but they are all running around like headless-chickens. It took over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and a further 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Three of the five of us at the table ordered a fillet steak. Two of the steaks were not cooked as ordered, and while none of us are butchers, we were not sure that they were fillet cuts. We each took our first bite of the steak, and all three of us thought that it tasted horrible, like they had been sitting at room temperature for way too long. We told the staff that we were sending it back, to which the manager was consulted by the staff and he said 'make new' and walked off. No concern or apologies from him. The only staff member who apologised was a young female waitress. Thankfully, they did not charge us for the food. We did not eat anything else there. Stay away from this place, it's fast-food made slowly, in a tacky place with slow service and (mostly, not all) rude staff...
