I like: The joghurt they use feels nice and tasty, not like typical German joghurt that is just creamy but extremely mild in character The matcha purple rice joghurt drink is actually a pretty good product, I like it and will miss it since I dont see myself ordering often there anymore
I don't like: The price, even for a small version is just high. 5 euro for a drink that is 1/3 ice is just greedy practice imo. You CANNOT order without ice, and they always try to justify this by saying something silly but in the end it's because they wanna save on the already small amount of stuff they give you Over time they seem to have become even greedier (how even), since they recently stopped the coupon cards ( collect 10 stamps, each for 1 drink, get a free drink for them) The tapioca-based tees feel a bit like a joke, which is surprising given the claims of hand-made goodness they talk on their site. Something like ComeBuy has way better-tasting pearls, the ones here felt bland every time I tried to give them another shot
Overall I liked the place because my girlfriend loves the matcha joghurt rice combo, but even she admits they have become too bad at their practice and we are already looking for...
Read moreAs I came here for the first time(a Wednesday around 16:00), I waited for more than 30min, although there were only five people/groups in front of me. When I finally got in the shop, the seller told me that it would take 10-15min to prepare, so I left, as I had an appointment. First disappointment.
However I really wanted to try it, reading the commentaries and being a strong bubble-tea drinker, so I came back the same day around 19:00. No queue this time fortunately, but I somehow still waited 10 minutes for my tea to be ready, which I think is long considering the work to be done... I took a standard matcha tea to compare with the other shops I went to, and it was honestly nothing really special. The tapioca pearls are caramelised in brown sugar, which give them a nice taste at the beginning but become quite cloying after the first five mouthfuls. The quality of the matcha tea is standard, not much taste. Second disappointment.
I have drunk far better bubble teas in other places, without waiting for so long, so I don't recommend.
Ps: and if you want to order online to wait less, you have to take at...
Read more'Twas the summer's beginning and through Mitte we walked, just myself, my wife and our doggie Bean atrot.
Th'sun was beaming without relent, while our stomach cried our for sugar, so looking we went.
When there at the corner, we spotted a line, quite long and daunting, though promising and fine.
Upon closer inspection and with fervent intent, we found 'twas a mass from the Orient!
Awash with surprise, we joined the litter, who knew the Silk Road endeth in Mitte!
Why stand you like this? What good are you after? Iliana and I wanted part of the treasure!
When suddenly walked, out the store so bright, a pair of young people, faces alight.
In their small hands, glowed faintly in th'heat, a pint-sized drink, looking scrumptious and sweet.
At the bottom assembled, like rocks in the sea, were orbs of mighty translucency!
Our hearts apound, our mouth full of spit, we drooled and moaned, ever eager for it.
'Til finally first, we managed to say: two bobas, so sweet, and with straw, okay?
And out we walked hectar by hectar, content with our lives from...
