The bubble teas here are absolutely delicious, and I’ve enjoyed coming back several times, often bringing friends along. However, I’m giving four stars instead of five because the service isn’t always friendly. During one visit, my buzzer went off and I went to the counter to pick up the drink that was ready. A few minutes later, my friend’s buzzer rang, and it turned out that the drinks had been mixed up, the one I took was actually hers. I had already drank from my friend’s drink (we ordered the same drink, except hers was with oat milk because she is lactose intolerant). Instead of calmly sorting it out first, the staff member blamed me, saying, “But you took it,” which made me feel really uncomfortable. He gave us a replacement drink, but I had to be blamed first which really should not have occurred 😅 I hope the team can work on handling situations like this more kindly. I’d still recommend this place for the drinks, and I hope the service...
Read moreMy husband and I used to love The Alley in Munich. Their bubble teas were fresh, contained the same amount of bubbles as pictured in their menu, and packed a ton of flavor. We have come to this location a handful of times, hoping that it would live up to our experience at the Munich location. We were terribly disappointed. In their signature brown sugar drink, there is barely any bubbles and the bubbles were lukewarm. Their warm teas are extremely milky and have almost no flavor. The mango slush drink was also flavorless, too thin, and was lacking the jelly that was advertised. Due to these discrepancies and quality issues, we have unfortunately had to go to another tea shop (which also does not live up to the Alley in Munich). We hope management reads this review and re-trains its staff. A trip down to Munich would do wonders for this team to see how these teas are supposed to taste. We hope to return one day with a...
Read moreI love the Alley in Paris and London and I was so happy to spot one in Düsseldorf. After dinner we took the lychee yoghurt, matcha white peach, passionfruit tea and the ube Brown sugar tapioca with crème brulee. The ube one has always been my favorite item on the menu and my daughter is a big fan of the fruity tea's with jelly and tapioca pearls. The lychee yoghurt was a bit too sweet for my taste and the matcha white peach had cornflakes of some sort which I did not expect they sank to the bottom before we had a chance to drink it and it got soggy and not so nice. But I guess it would have been nice if we didn't wait 20 minutes...
