Feinschmecker 好味道 — Restaurant in Frankfurt

The food was ok, their home made Bao is actually very yummy but we found hair in one of the dishes they serve (it happens, it’s ok) and the owner literary pretend he doesn’t see it in front of us for 5 mins then finally we have to pull the hair out of the bowl to show him that the hair is there. Also the service is bad, sometimes they bring it to you sometime they yell and tell you to pickup the food so which is it? I also heard the owner joking about “this dish is 38 degree just like my body temperature” why would I want to know your body temperature is the same as the dish you are making? That’s disgusting. The dumplings and Bao’s are really yummy but the noodle soup are so blend and no taste with 5 small piece of meat, plus the cold noodle they use those soy meat thing that doesn’t taste fresh, it actually taste sour like it’s spoiled, I honestly question some of their ingredient’s freshness. Generally speaking very cheap but you get what you paid for. They could of increase the price a little if they increase the quality. Like make each dish €14-€16 and put real ingredients that are fresh, pay a student server at the minimum wage, I will go there more and actually enjoy the real food, because they clearly knows how to make real dumplings. Unfassbar leckerer China POINT!!!!!

Möchte gar nicht viel darüber sprechen, dass es noch etwas geheim bleibt 🤣

Aber im Ernst: Wer jetzt nicht gerade romantisch essen will, aber im 7ten Himmel schweben möchte, der bewegt sich in die Allianz Passage und genießt. Unscheinbar, sogar simpel wirkt der Mini Laden, aber allein, das er voller Asiaten war, war schon mal ein Grund mehr, ihn auszuprobieren. Der Chef ein witziger, aber dennoch unaufdringlicher Entertainer ob mit seinen chinesischen Gästen oder dem Rest. Eine ältere sehr fein wirkende Vietnamesin empfahl mir etwas, was ich in der Form nie gegessen hatte. Es waren 4 große gefüllte Bälle, größer als Ha Ghao und ganz anders in der Konsistenz, fast wie angebratener Gries und die Füllung...... Herrgott, was ein Geschmack, ich hab fast geheult😳😄 und war fast depressiv, als es zum letzten ging..... Während mir eine junge Chinesin mit Prada & Co Einkäufen (ich erwähne es nur, weil man diese Art Publikum in dieser doch sehr spartanisch wirkenden Räumlichkeit eher weniger erwartet hätte, aber gerade das Durcheinander von sehr einfachen, teuren und Touristen Publikum, war spannend.) Alle waren total herzlich, jeder hilfsbereit. Da ich die einzige Europäerin war, waren alle ambitioniert, mir begeistert zu erzählen, wie sie auf diesen kleinen Geheimtipp gekommen waren. Die edle Dame bot mir sogar etwas von ihren Teigtaschen an, die etwas anders aussahen.... Und alles wird frisch gemacht - unglaublich! So viel Liebenswürdigchkeit war mir seit Wochen nicht in Frankfurt begegnet, die Stimmung überall ist ja mehr als kritisch und aufgeladen, egal, wo man sich aufhält in dieser Stadt..vor allem jedoch die Zeil ist unerträglich und keine Option mehr für mich, dort zu flanieren, mir ist es mit Verlaub, schlichtweg zu asozial geworden.

Daher, gerade am Ende der B Ebene, so eine süße Location zu entdecken mit so viel Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von wildfremden Menschen... das werde ich länger in Erinnerung behalten..!

(wenn ich an die Antwort des genervten Kellners im schicken und vor allem leeren 'Utopia' denke, in dem ich 2Std vorher saß und wagte um 14Uhr nach einem Croissant zu fragen.....: "Nur was auf der Karte steht.." Ohne natürlich seinen Blick vom Tresen zu heben... "Viel Geld für die Einrichtung, aber beim Personal völlig gespart" - wie mein Gast zu dieser Antwort sehr treffend bemerkte..)

很好吃! I love this place, their handmade dumplings are delicious and the staff is super friendly! If you like Chinese street food, I would recommend you a special trip to Hauptwache’s rather unattractive alleyways just to enjoy this hidden treasure in the „Allianzpassage“ at Hauptwache train station (underground). Food tastes authentic and great. Highly recommend the no. 20, 24, 25 (also as vegetarian option). They also offer other great vegetarian options. Come by Saturday before noon and you’ll see them rolling the dumplings by hand :):) Bonus they don’t mind filling your order in your own Tupperware if you’re interested in reducing plastic packaging #zerowaste...
