I’ve found this place in google maps and saw the ratings, after I saw the ratings I convinced my friends to go there for a lunch and couple beers.

About the food there are couple recommendations I would like to make; -Crunchy Feta Cheese is a must, it was so good it literally got vanished out of the table the second waiter bring it, sadly wasn’t able to take a picture of that. -Fried Calamari is so nice as it can be seen in the picture, I was able to take a picture of it before it goes down to belly with a beer. -Greek Salad is definitely a good choice to eat on the side it was perfectly fine. -Platter of Meat Variety is a must as well, the meat was cooked very nicely and delicious without a doubt this should be in the table if you enjoy eating variety choice of meat. -Chicken Gyros was very delicious and quite nice cooked too, sweet chili on gyros was a good choice imo I quite enjoyed that one too.

Atmosphere can be seen in the picture, its in the middle of Monastiraki square where tons of people walk by, so I can say the atmosphere is live and crowded you can enjoy the square while eating and drinking.

Staff was so smiley and very very helpful, I would like to thank the staff once again from here, they even gave me the recipes I asked, lots of laughs and chatter.

Overall perfectly combined restaurant where I enjoyed 100% of my time in here. If you are visiting Athens you definitely should come and enjoy the food, atmosphere and...

The food was ok. Not happy with the customer service.

I ordered two drinks for my wife and I. A member of staff brought the drinks to the wrong table, realised his mistake, then proceeded to give us only one of the soft drinks. Giving the second drink to a differen't customer.

Another member of staff approached us and stuffed the bill in my face before I had even finished eating. I mentioned to her I'm missing a soft drink and she bluntly replied "it's coming".

We ended up finishing our food and they still did not bring the soft drink. At this point I didn't want it anymore.

I explained to yet another member of staff to take the soft drink off the bill as it did not come and had finished eating. He gave a blasé response "yes yes ok".

After leaving payment on the table and exiting the restaurant. My Wife and I were chased by another member staff outside of the restaurant, which was very embarrassing, he thought we didn't pay the whole bill.

We returned inside the restaurant and had to explain to the manager what happened. He did not apologise or even seem apologetic. The staff need to communicate with each other....

Authentic Greek Dining Near the Acropolis – A Hidden Gem Among the Crowds

When we first walked by this place, I assumed it was just another tourist restaurant — busy, full of people, right near the Acropolis. But once we sat down, we realized it was the opposite: authentic, flavorful, and genuinely Greek.

🍴 The food: Generous portions, high-quality meat, and dishes full of flavor. For four people, we ordered plenty and still spent less than $50 total — amazing value considering the location.

🍰 Bonus: They surprised us with a traditional Greek cake on the house — absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch.

🌿 The vibe: Modern design with both indoor and outdoor seating. Sitting outside was my favorite — enjoying the breeze, watching people walk by, and listening to Greek music in the background.

🙌 The service: The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which honestly added so much to the whole experience.

✨ Final thought: It looks touristy from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. Between the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the price, it was a 10/10 experience. Strongly recommend if you’re...

I recently dined at The Greco’s Project and was nice. The restaurant boasts a broad menu featuring a delightful selection of meats and fish, with a strong emphasis on meat, which is truly the main attraction. What stood out was the grilled preparation method, resulting in less greasy dishes. The meat was not only tasty but also beautifully marinated, while the sides complemented the main dishes perfectly. The fish was also commendable and served in generous portions. We enjoyed the option to eat in the restaurant as well as take away. While the takeaway was still enjoyable, the meat was slightly drier than when eaten on-site, which is often the case with food traveling, even for just five minutes. Located right in the square, The Greco’s Project is an ideal stop for tourists looking to rest and recharge between sightseeing. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious offerings and inviting atmosphere!
