I can’t rate the food in this restaurant because it was simply awful. The chef is confused about Indian food. 90% of the menu was unavailable on a Thursday evening at 19.30, Starters Chaana Chat was just Chickpeas with onions. No chat masala. Onion bhaji was uncooked and almost liquid in the middle. Mains, appeared to be all cooked in the same red tomato sauce. The chicken in the chicken Karahi was undercooked, the masala in the sauce were not cooked through. Tandoori chicken leg, was again red no flavour no salt, and not cooked through. The daal Makhani was not even daal, it was made with kidney beans which is Rajma. OMG!Lamb Biryani well there was lamb and it was well cooked but it was pilau then Biryani. The only thing actually half Indian in this restaurant was the mango Lassi. Which they ran out of. We couldn’t even order Iranian grilled food because the chef doesn’t cook that on week...
Read moreWaited 55 minutes for the food! The food was; a kebab (wasn't made great, terrible actually) a chicken tikka masala which was very average. Mango lassi was also average, that we recieved within 10 minutes. So by the time our food came it was as good as finished. The garlic naan didn't taste like a garlic naan. After 45 minutes my wife and i complained to an employee and recieved a small bowl of OLD(!) nuts as compensation. Horrible. The host then came and explained why it was taking so long, in my opinion very late, because it wasn't crowded in the restaurant. And the wait didn't help, because the food wasn't that good. Not sure if Indians/Pakistanis made the food, i didn't see any at in/around the kitchen. I would recommend to try eat at a Indian/Pakistani run restaurant for some good 'Desi' food. Pluspoints: the meat is halal here and the host (a littlebit Asian looking lady) is...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic, 8 of us went here on our last night in Rhodes. Restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night which was a real shame, definitely no reflection of the quality of food on offer. It was the end of the season and start of new lockdowns Europe wide so tourists very thin on the ground.
We all agreed it was as good as Indian food gets, right up there in my top 5 Indians visited personally. All food was clearly cooked fresh and from scratch. None of that bulk base sauce altered to suit your dish that you get in pretty much every UK Indian restaurant. Even the kids said the Chicken Tikka main was the best they'd ever had..
The Japanese lady serving was very friendly and welcoming. And the chef popped out at the end to say Hi. Can't recommend enough. If you're serious about your curry then make sure you visit here when...
