A Hidden Gem in Budapest's City Center

Nestled in the heart of Budapest, this small coffee shop is a delightful find for any coffee lover. Despite its modest size, it exudes a charming and cozy ambiance that makes every visit a pleasure. The real highlight, however, is the coffee—it's nothing short of exceptional. Each cup is brewed to perfection, showcasing a rich, robust flavor that stands out even to the most discerning palate.

In addition to the superb coffee, the bowls offered here are equally impressive. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, they complement the coffee perfectly, making for a well-rounded and satisfying experience. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee break or a relaxed spot to enjoy a light meal, this place delivers on all fronts.

Highly recommended for anyone in the city center seeking quality coffee and delicious bowls in a warm,...

A very cozy little café. I probably wouldn't have found it if it hadn't been recommended to me. The barista was welcoming and friendly. We tried their avocado toast, which is probably one of the best ones I've had, with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of everything. Their coffee was excellent too. There were many bar stools downstairs along the walls, but we chose to sit in the small upstairs area accessed by a winding staircase. It's child-friendly, as there were blocks and pens upstairs to draw with. The low table and small stools, along with one armchair and a bench, provided a view down to the ground floor. It's evident that it's beloved by its visitors, and the owner was also there, happily chatting with anyone who felt like it. Overall, it's a pleasant place with excellent service and lovely decor. I'll...

I really enjoyed my experience at The goat herder, both this branch and their other one in District 7 enroute to the city park.

They offer a variety of origins for their coffees, I tried the Guatemalan and Kenyan ones. Both of which were well rounded 👌

The owner is very very friendly and welcoming 🙏. It was also great to see that they have a steady and returning customer base of locals from the surrounding district, which is lovely to see and which is beautiful to support, because you find that it has a very authentic atmosphere

Fun fact : the cafe is named after the story pf the goat herder whom discovered coffee when his goats had mistakingly costumed it and became alert and...
