I am grateful to God for this wonderful gastronomic experience at Damas restaurant in Budapest. For me, food is not just the energy needed to survive the day, it is what builds our cells in the body (I am a health professional and therefore I look at things from a different angle). The food I ordered was a true symphony of colors, smells and flavors. For me, it felt like someone put a part of their soul into that food, respecting every ingredient. The space left me breathless (I come from Croatia and I know every Arabic restaurant in our country, we don't have this). The staff is wonderful, kind, they speak very good English (I don't speak Hungarian), they pay attention to every detail. For food, I ordered Baba ghanoush, Fried kibbeh and Tabbouleh salad (I am a good connoisseur of Arabic cuisine because I lived in Saudi Arabia and traveled all over the Middle East) this was beyond all my expectations. For drinks, I ordered lemonade with mango and I finished my lunch with a cup of Arabic black coffee. At the end I had the honor of meeting the chef who asked me if I was satisfied with the food. Thank you for this wonderful experience, I send you my warmest regards....

An absolutely unforgettable dining experience! From the moment we sat down, everything—from the ambiance to the service—was exceptional. But the real star of the show was the food.

We ordered the mixed grill platter, and it was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Perfectly grilled lamb chops, juicy koftas, tender chicken, and a generous assortment of roasted vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, and onions—all cooked to perfection. The spices were balanced beautifully, and the meats were tender and flavorful with a lovely smoky char.

The accompanying flatbread was warm, soft, and brushed with delicious herbs and a light tomato sauce—perfect for wrapping bites of meat or scooping up sauces. The freshness of the herbs and salad greens underneath added a bright contrast to the rich, grilled meats.

You can really taste the care and authenticity in every bite. If you’re looking for a place that serves generous portions of incredibly well-prepared food with warm hospitality, this is it. Highly recommend and will definitely...

Nice place, beautiful design, and super friendly staff! But honestly, the food is trash. Not just me — everyone’s saying the same. They really need to fix the kitchen ASAP! Kitchen 000000000000

Very expensive and the food is zero! The place looks nice, and the staff are friendly, but the prices are crazy high and the food is 0 out of 10 — totally not worth it.

The restaurant entrance is strange — you really have to search to find it! The layout and design are bad and uncomfortable — whoever planned it clearly has no sense of design. The menu has no pictures, and as a foreigner, I had no idea what I was ordering. The food was burnt and clearly not fresh, and the taste was terrible. The place looks nice, and the staff are friendly, but the food is zero out of ten. It’s not hate — it’s just the truth: the restaurant needs better management and organization. Honestly, even my dog at home wouldn’t...
