My friend and I were sexually assaulted by one of the security guards for a simple mistake. We sat on the ledges because we were too hot so we wanted to cool off, just to be aggressively slapped on our bottoms then proceeded to attempt to drown us under the water. He also threatened to punch me for being angry by splashing water on his face when i gestured ‘what the f’ about holding our heads under the water.

We called the police to then just be told that they could do nothing about it and the staff of the event organisers did not care about his abusive behaviour. On top of the traumatic incident, they also did not believe the victims when we said that they lied about ‘warning’ us 3 times to not sit on the ledges which was completely false. He could’ve simply just verbally warned us to not sit there, however, we were assaulted instead.

Do not come here unless you want to be targeted by miserable men who enjoy being predators and getting away with inappropriate behaviour.

We also did not get a refund despite the situation. It is 2023, do better. Sexual assault is NOT okay, he should not have gotten away with this. It is the security guards job to keep us safe from danger, however, he was the one who caused us the danger and left completely traumatised. What would have happened if we physically attacked him and put him under water? The police would have arrested us so why do we get unfair treatment from the law enforcement!

EDIT: So not only have SPARTY not taken accountability for their security guards assault on my friend and myself, they have LIED again to make themselves look better in the review. You should be ashamed of yourselves for how poorly you treated us and continue to make false accusations about us being ‘disruptive’ which was not the case. Nothing makes it justifiable for inappropriately slapping my bottom, attempting to drown us into the pool and threatening to punch a woman. The security guard and the rest of the staff knows what truly happened but lying about it to save your reputation is so pathetic. Learn from this situation and have...

I originally gave the Sparty 5 stars to get a free drink...here are some things u need to know before going...first go it was great time and very different. The staff who checks u in is very nice and helpful, but it stops there. Do not waste money on the entry tickets that include 3 drinks its a bait and switch. This is what they don't explain until u arrive lol. You receive 3 tickets BUT beer is one ticket and cocktails are two. Additionally you are restricted to a cheap juice and ice filled list of 5 drinks.

This however is not what made me change my rating to one star....I attended the event on Saturday September 14th 2024. The weather was awful cold and raining non stop. We made the best of it and still had fun. Due to the weather they shut the party down at 1am. There were at least 300 ppl in attendance, so it took time for everyone to get inside and changed not to mention book a car service. We are from the US and did not have service without wifi. They did have free wifi but it only worked in the lobby and with so many ppl trying to get rides. It tool about 15min to get a car to book and then about 10 for it to arrive. As u can imagine we were not the only ones. BUT we were the only mixed couple and my partner was the only person of color there period. Security approached us several times trying to push out literally in the cold and rain with no way to get a ride back to our hotel. They had no concern or care for tourists because they had made their money for the night. We also found it concerning that Security was giving all the white ppl time and grace to exit safely. This is warring to everyone...don't allow ignorance to keep u from going where u want, however know that no one will care about u there so ensure u have everything u need to take care of urself.

Also, anyone else picking up on the owners response to negative feedback? Feels like the super aggressive security staff is writing them. They pay for good reviews with free beers and attack when ppl...

Shocking experience

I recently attended Sparty in Budapest and was thoroughly disappointed by the experience.

Review bribery: do not believe five start reviews. They give out drinks vouchers to people that leave good reviews. These are fake reviews.

Hygiene issues: The hygiene standards were appalling. I was shocked to find used plasters in the pool plus guests urinating in there. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and sanitation practices of the venue.

Aggressive lifeguards: The lifeguards at the event were unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of ensuring safety in a professional manner, they acted more like bouncers at a nightclub, often yelling at guests and creating an intimidating atmosphere.

Overpriced: The event is extremely expensive for what it offers. Given the poor conditions and subpar experience, the high price tag is unjustifiable. There are many other better-maintained and more affordable options in Budapest that offer a genuinely enjoyable spa experience without breaking the bank.

Mainly male guests: The crowd was overwhelmingly male, which made the atmosphere feel unbalanced. It's something to be aware of if you’re expecting a more mixed or balanced social environment.

Overall, my experience at Sparta was far below expectations. The aggressive staff, serious hygiene issues, high costs and uncomfortable atmosphere left me regretting my decision to attend. I would not recommend this event to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing night out in Budapest. There are much better and cleaner options available...

Half an hour to get inside, then surprise another half a hour to get your bracelet and card. There was no line, people were just pushing forward towards the front desk, very hot inside as well, if you showered before you would get sweaty by waiting like sardines. There is literally nothing organised before you get your stuff. BUY SLIPPER BEFOREHAND, outrageous 25 EUROS a pair of worst slippers in my life, worth of less than 10 cent/pair. Inside in the middle there was a construction site while they had pools open, what?? There is mud between the pools. One pool was more heated than the other. Lockers are very few, I had to take one locker with 2 other persons, barely found a free locker. Drinks are expensive, 15 eur a regular cocktail, 8 euros a beer. They barely swap your reusable cup, you have to insist (it gets water from the pool and you have to wash it in the bathrooms). Dancers come from time to time, in 3 hours I saw like like 5 or 6 routines. 90% of the people are men and gay men, not so pleasant as a straight male. Overall I spent 60 eur for a basic ticket which is very expensive compared to other thermal places, 25 eur slippers (total ripoff), and about 90 euros for drinks (6 drinks or so), total of 175 euros which is insane for what you get.

So here is my realistic review based on what I experienced and my expectations: 1-the entrance and staff were very nice and humble, they guide you very well, you have enough space for storage, and normally won't wait a lot for bathroom or shower. 2- I paid ~62€, I would expect to pay it for a reasonable exchange . That is, at least a free towel and flip-flops. We paid 3~ for cup, and alcoholic drinks were at least 10€, with a short amounts of alchohol, mostly ice. So you pay a lot for a cheap drink. Much below my expectations. 3- the swimming pool was warm, and you wouldn't feel cold, I liked the temperature and facilities there 4- the event was okay, no impressive shows or fire work or laser show. I expected an amazing firework or dance show while it was like a cheap show in cheap club in Spain. Not also great visual effects, and due to lights you coupd barely see what's happening in the stage if you were a bit far from it. 5- the most horrible part was the sound quality, the music was good, but speakers lacked sound quality and bass. The most important thing for a club or show is SOUND QUALITY (so remember it guys :D). In the end, I would pay 25€ maximum for this show, and it is a good experience mostly for teens.
