East Quarters, the sister restaurant of Toma in Chillax Sudirman that's just newly opened this year. Focused on Pan-Asian Cuisine, they mostly present popular traditional Asian dishes, with a little twist.
On my 1st visit I ordered: Cireng Oncom 🌟 Served crispy and hot, eat it once served for the best texture. The crunch is heavenly. Don't wait until it cools down as it will become oily. So so good. Dry ramen People recommended it, nearly perfect but lacking 5% for my preference. Noodle texture a bit too cooked and a tad bit salty for my taste, feel bloated towards the end. Maybe i should have asked for more pickle. The pickle is good.
On my 2nd visit I ordered: Beef Curry Paratha 🌟 Beef Curry, Mayo Yoghurt, Picked Red Onion, Paratha Bread Bold Indian spices on this entrée. Consider this if you feel like eating Indian food.
L.A. Galbi Grilled Bone-in beef short ribs, Banchan, Apple Samjang, Chimichurri Eat it fast once served, otherwise it will lose its charms. I thought it was lightly sweet from the marination. Not outstanding though.
Nasi Goreng Buntut Bakar 🌟 Wok Stir Fried Rice with Dendeng Lemak, Grilled Oxtail, Egg, Emping, Pickles Fav menu, delightful and smokiness on each bite 🤩
Beef Tikka Lasagna 🌟 Pan Roasted Beef Lasagna, Pickled Red Onion, Tikka Masala Sauce Who would have thought to pair Tikka Masala curry with lasagna? Surprisingly it works well though 🫰
El Cremosa Mango, Passion Fruit, Coconut Water, Pistachio, Yoghurt Super refreshing and not too sweet. Peach Tea House Blend Tea
Price a little bit on the high side, but on par with the quality. I spent around 300-400K per person for these orders. Staff was attentive and quick on their feet, same level of service as in Toma. Suitable for a night out, or...

The restaurant’s interior is a standout feature, showcasing a flowing, earth-toned design that exudes sophistication. Its striking aesthetic, visible even from the escalator, establishes an exclusive tone that aligns with contemporary dining trends.
A slight down point could be taken through their pan-seared salmon, served over a sweetened miso butter broth, did not align with the oceanic and salty character of the fish; a drier base or a tangy puree might better emphasize its inherent qualities. In contrast, the sides and condiments served with the LA Galbi (banchan with fresh leaves, apple ssamjang, and burnt scallion chimichurri) were executed with absolute precision, delivering vibrant and explosive fireworks of flavors in my mouth.
Service was notably intuitive and proactive. Staff members efficiently provided additional tableware when necessary and acknowledged the celebratory nature of the private special occasion I attended here with a thoughtful presentation. This level of attentiveness enhances the overall dining experience. Positioned at a premium price point, East Quarter has successfully...
Read moreWent to East Quarters for a friend's birthday dinner recently and honestly had a pretty good time. The place has this relaxed but stylish vibe, and the menu kinda tells you to just order a bunch of things to share. So that's exactly what we did.
The first thing that really grabbed me was the Galbi Steak. As soon as it hit the table it smelled incredible. Perfect char, super juicy, and the sauces that came with it were so good I was dipping literally everything into them. Definitely the star of the night for me.
Then came the famous tacos, and I get why everyone talks about them. The crispy shell with the prawn filling was crunchy, creamy, and full of flavor. I could’ve eaten a whole plate by myself. The Tandoori Chicken Skewers were also really nice—smoky, tender, and seasoned well.
The Black Cireng was surprisingly fun—chewy on the inside, crispy outside, and that sauce on top made it unique. I actually really appreciated that dish more than I expected. Everything else was quite good tbh, so you can't really go wrong.
Overall, I’d say East Quarters is one of those places that’s easy to recommend. Fun dishes, great highlights like the galbi and tacos, and the rest also still solid. A good place that makes...
