Buskers on the Ball — Restaurant in Dublin

Just left that horrible place 2 hours ago. I got there with a friend and co-worker after a long day after work. We were ignored at the bar, I decide to stand and walk to the other way. It 23:16 pm when we could have our drinks and 15 minutes after the Iive music was cut off and all the bright lights were turned on - the staff who charged me almost €18 for 2 glasses of wine probably did not think about let me know I would have about 20 minutes to finish my drink and go. When the security man turned just to my colleague and I and sad that the pub wascl closing and we need to finish and go. Then I told: Oh the bar staff never told me about it. Then he said: Where are you from? Extremely shocked I asked him "how relevant it would be at that time" and then he said that I needed to leave. It was personal and xenophobic as we asked around and he did not go to talk to others before or after us. I asked to talk to the manager as because I work in customer service, for me it's extremely important that people should be treated with respect.

I went out after 8h shift from work to have a good time and I had a horrible experience.

The manager said he would address the situation and I hope with my honest review, people be aware to avoid...

TRAVELERS BEWARE!!! (Bad Service and Blatant Disregard for Covid-19 Restrictions). I was part of small group, paying both separately and together at different times (fluent in a variety of languages). My group adhered to the mask rule put in place.

Not only were the bartenders and servers incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and, quite frankly, intolerably and intentionally avoidant (the staff went out of their way to avoid service to mutual members of our party). One of my group members asked whether they could get a glass of water/bottled water—the response was (from both bartenders and servers alike) “I am sorry, no one understands you and I don’t speak English. Good luck.” Another member asked for a Guinness and the response remained the same.

It was most concerning that not a single bartender adhered to the mask rule and all patrons in this crowded bar walked around freely without masks.

In short, there are so many other fun and welcoming places around the area, who abide by restrictions put in place for everyone’s safety. Please don’t waste your time...

Went here with a group from work. As we wanted to reserve an area, we had to prepay for a food package. When we got there we realised that all we could have was burgers, and despite questioning this with their management, they refused to let us make any swaps, even for cheaper menu items. I’m not talking about anything majorly different, just chicken strips instead as not everyone likes burgers, but apparently that was a hard no.

Overall the place is gritty and grim, so in hindsight we didn’t need to book as it was half empty, so felt it was very unreasonable of them not to try to at least accommodate us a little. We’d also paid for more people than were ultimately able to make it and they wouldn’t let us have a refund on those seats or even credit it towards spend in other areas.

We had planned to stay for the night but after our experience we just got what we had pud for and moved on. They won’t get anymore business from anyone in...
