One of the place to go to for a quick breakfast. The usual order for us is porridge but sometimes we switch around for full irish or French toast. Warning: when you ask for porridge with raisin make sure to mention only little else porridge would be filled with sweetners, no honey required. :) Good place for a quick bite.

Small but cozy cafe where you can find typical Irish breakfast and lunch while staying away from the most touristy places. We were served by nice and kind people and we really enjoyed our meal. Prices are average.

I really love this place . It’s cheap cheerful and good grub . No fuss menu and great service from the staff . I really appreciate the fact that regular people come here and it’s not filled with toffs

My boyfriend and I were looking for a traditional Irish breakfast - black/white pudding, sausages, thick-cut bacon, egg, toast, mushrooms, and beans. This was an excellent choice for us. The venue was small but the service was quick and friendly.

One thing I almost forgot. Breakfast is served ALL DAY. We went at 2pm.

I got the "Regular breakfast" and my boyfriend got the "Weekend breakfast." They both came with most of the above. Mine didn't have beans and mushrooms, but it did come with complimentary coffee or tea. There are a couple of other Irish breakfast combos, and you can also order some of the items individually. They were both well-cooked and savory, if not the classiest cafe/bistro food that we could have eaten. But that's what we wanted, an IRISH breakfast!

Best thing of all - it was super cheap! 15 euro for the two of us to have a hearty, filling brunch and be full until well into...

Nestled in a corner and dwarfed by the Megabikes motorcycle shop next door, you could easily walk past this place without noticing it. But that would be a real shame. Because Cafe Sofia is one of the best places to enjoy that great Irish culinary tradition. I am of course talking about"the fry" or "the full Irish breakfast". The menu has many permuations of the fry. And if you don't like those , they will change them to suit you. Service is fast, and above all friendly. And if you are not in the mood for a fry, there are other options on the menu. For example they do a very nice club sandwich. And when you have finally finished your delicious breakfast /brunch /lunch, they will give you a complimentary chocolate goldgrain biscuit. Not...

I’m hoping to return to Ireland after more than 12 years absence. One of my priorities is to visit Cafe Sofia, and introduce my wife to a proper breakfast.

I imagine it is still under the same ownership, and if so expect a welcome reception, great food, and very generous helpings. Whether you live in Ireland or are visiting, if you are looking for some of the best that Ireland has to offer,...
