I really wanted to like Goose on the Loose. I'd walked by one day and saw the prices and promised to come back. Came today with 2 friends for brunch and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Please don't get me wrong, the ambience is lovely, the staff genuinely seemed to be trying their best with what they had but I can't say a nice thing past that.

Our 40 + minute wait for food, considering the size of the restaurant, was what started the downward trend. Then I was told 30 minutes after ordering that what I had ordered was unavailable due to lack of one of the ingredients. Then my replacement meal (that I chose) came and maybe it was the size of the plate to the scale of what was on it, but my first thought was- could have stayed at home.

I think Loose on the Goose is a cosy little spot in city centre, but I wouldn't come here for food. Maybe a coffee or the crepes (which I didn't have but seemed really popular). If you want a MEAL I'd look elsewhere.

Another perspective: This is one of the friends here, I was completely disappointed in what I was served. I ordered the Irish breakfast. Visually, it looks good so I'll commend them on the presentation. But when I ate the pudding, all I can say is that it tasted like it was microwaved. It was just mushy with no crust on the outside. If you want to order an Irish breakfast. Look the other way and don't...

I went there on the pancake Tuesday and ordered American style pancake. When I tried the pancake, the taste was wired, I felt like it was gone bad and I had just a little. I told them the taste a bit wired and they took that away. They offered me another option so I got a crepe instead of the pancake. When I got the receipt, they charged me the pancake as well as the crepe. I asked them to give me refund of the pancake. The guy was working the shop said that it's only your personal opinion and refused to refund. At the end, I got refund for the pancake but the management there was so awful. When one of your customer comes to you and say the samething to you, you have to taste it and found out what's wrong with your food instead of saying it's your personal opinion, that's your...

Goose on the Loose, a small restaurant near Camden Street seems to be always packed and busy - for good reason! This is THE spot for delicious pancakes in Dublin.

The menu does also include a full Irish, salads and sandwiches, but you're coming here for the pancakes. There's a good variety of sweet and savoury options, and you get to choose your pancake style: Combine your favourite fillings/toppings with a choice of French crepes, American buttermilk pancakes or Eastern European blinis.

Having tried all types, I can claim they are all amazing! On the savoury side, the Brekkie and the goat cheese pancakes are highly recommended, as are the lemon and banana ones on...

We had a lovely dinner at The Goose and it truly exceeded our expectations. We both went for the Welsh sirloins, which were cooked to absolute perfection – juicy, full of flavour, and paired with the most delicious pepper sauce I've ever had. The setting was beautiful and romantic, with a stunning view that made the evening feel really special. To top it off, there was live music from the incredibly talented singer, Millie, who added the perfect soundtrack to our night. We also noticed their Thursday deal – two steaks and a bottle of wine for just £50 – such great value! Needless to say, we’ve already booked our next visit.
