I spent my birthday at Memas Pub in Dublin and it was an amazing experience! The place has a great atmosphere, warm and lively, which made the celebration even more special. We were well taken care of with efficient and attentive service, and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The price is also very fair for the quality
The manager was very attentive and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the people in the pub were really friendly.
I also appreciated the social inclusion aspect, as one of the staff members was autistic. However, at times, I noticed she seemed a bit stressed and was somewhat curt with some guests. This concerned me because it was clear that she got nervous with the large number of people at the table and during busy moments. I think it’s wonderful to include people with special needs, but I believe additional training would help them better manage high-pressure situations.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this pub. It’s one of the best places in Dublin to celebrate a special occasion...
Read moreMema's is the sort of place that the north City Centre lacks. Much like Boco's is 70% restaurant to 30% bar, Mema's does much the same in the inverse. It's a comfortable, trendy, and eclectic spot that serves great pizza and beer. The menu boasts a good selection of pizza (the special with the garlic base is wonderful), loaded fries, and wings, and they have an array of tap beer, cans, and cocktails. The pizza choices are decent if not wildly creative, and the fries have a little too much topping, but the portions are generous and very tasty. While the canned beer list is predominantly overhopped IPAs, this is the current style and doesn't particularly take from the experience. The food portions are great and are served in takeaway boxes meaning your leftovers are easily brought home. A great addition to Parnell...
Read moreFirst place to visit after lockdown and didn't have a great experience. Booked in for a table and when we got there they couldn't find our names on the list, then had us sit on a little barrel in the smoking area, not even big enough to fit the pizza we ordered on it. There were plenty of other tables not in use on the premises so we asked politely could we move to another table for the remainder of our stay. Management were very poor and told us they couldn't move us and explained there was a booking for that table in 5 minutes. 50 minutes later there was still no one at the table while we were cramped up beside two other tablets full of people. Personally had a bad experience and I would be hesitant on returning. Both the girls on the floor were great and made up for the manager being extremely rude...
