This place has a 90s Temple Bar Rock Garden feel to it, I went in with my wife for a drink after a few hours of her shopping. I immediately felt at ease when I walked in. There was decent music playing. I could see people eating and there was a really good vibe. The bar man was quick and professional while still being friendly. There’s a small cocktail list written on a chalk board. Short and sweet. It’s better to be a great at a few cocktails than average at a loads of cocktails. The smoking section is outdoors and it’s small but we got chairs. The toilets were clean. Overall I’d recommend this bar and I’ll definitely be back

We shared the family menu and it was delicious. A lot of food for the price. The service was good. The place is more of a pub than a restaurant so take that into consideration. They have quite the range of beer and even non-alcoholic beer options.

Great bar, the food was absolutely delicious, the music was excellent and the bar staff were extremely polite! We got two burgers, one plate of crispy pork belly bits and kimchi fries, unreal! 11/10, highly recommended and will be back!

This place is trying to be a nightclub that moonlights as a subpar gastro pub and it's not worth your time or your money so I'm not surprised now thst I had a really poor night with my partner and our friend here last night. We stopped in for a few pints after dinner at my suggestion. The rugby was on so it was a little busy but there were a fair few tables empty or half empty, most had a reserved from 8 sign on them so fair enough. We initially sat at a high table, not phenomenal for my back but that's all there was. My partner wasn't feeling the merry west so she got a half pint and our friend and I got pints. Chatting away best we could between the blaring TV and the blaring music they played when there was a lull at half time the lower table behind us cleared so we snatched it so I could rest my back. It was a 4 person table but there were 3 of us when the previous party was 2. So happy days chatting away. Pints eventually went down but I said I'd hold off a bit to let my stomach settle. Staff came over to take the glasses grand, chatting away. Then this member of staff came over and she could not have been ruder if she tried. "What are yis drinking?" She said. I assumed she was looking to take our order, unusual when the last staff member hadn't but I thought it'd save me scrambling to the bar so I asked for a pint. She replied "Well you can order up at the bar." Ok. She then took orders off the other two "water" and "I'm fine thanks". "Grand" she says and walks off. Then about a minute later without the drinks she comes back. "I have people waiting on tables and if only one of you are drinking you have to move to a smaller table." I was stunned. Especially cos I could see the big table in the window, with a reserved from 8 sign had remained empty it was now quarter past 9 so clearly not reserved now. I looked at my two, they said okay but they were as stunned as I was by the way the staff member was handling this. I lost it when I stood up and 5 people were surrounding us to take the table. It had 4 chairs. A bigger table was available. Your wan said "follow me I have a smaller table." I just sighed, turned to my partner and asked if we should just go to a better pub? They both agreed and I turned to the staff member and told her to forget it. I've been going to this pub since it was Lafayette's great little spot and I always advocated for it as a stop on a night out but now after being treated like dirt for drinking less than usual I think I'll stick to better pubs with consistent staff that...

Normally, I don't leave negative reviews, but in this case, it was necessary.

Occasionally, I go to this pub to watch sports or meet friends. Never in my life have I seen such poor bartenders!

I've been visiting this bar for 5-7 years now... It seems that they hire the same type of staff, who are either inattentive, uncooperative, or completely untrained.

Over two years ago, I ordered a cocktail in this bar! The bartender couldn't figure out how to make it. (IT WAS ADVERTISED ON THE BOARD,) Recently, I was in this pub and overheard someone ordering a cocktail, and the situation was the same... The lady in charge seems to be the only one competent enough to make cocktails!

There is no awareness among the young staff that their unprofessional behavior is causing poor customer service!

Unfortunately, there is a clear trend in staff behavior which indicates those in charge must want these types of workers, for whatever reason.

The only time I interact with the staff is when I'm ordering a drink, and I've observed this trend over time.

Due to its location and lack of regulars, most likely due to its poor customer service, it's a great place to watch sport as you're nearly guaranteed to get a seat. It's the only reason I return.

There is a lady behind the bar who appears to be the manager. She is friendly and does her best, but she needs to lay down the law with some of the other staff who are clearly not providing the best possible customer service.

Bartenders chatting and disengaging while people stand at the bar for a long time is appalling!

It's nearly as bad to turn off sport when people are watching!

Get...

Myself and my partner and two of our friends went for a drinkt here to start our night out when my partner realized her bottle was out of date so the manager checked the fridge and all the bottles were out of date. Then myself my friend and his partner had our first sip of our pint of birra morreti only to find it to have a disgusting taste from it we confront the manager who told us she wouldn't change them as the keg was only changed. We couldn't drink them so bought 3 bottles of Heineken instead only to find one was again out of date so we approached the manager again and her explanation was we only got a fresh batch from the supplier so she didnt know how it was out of date I'd say it was down to not caring she did try make amends by bringing a round of shots to our table and apologized but it was to little to late we left and can honestly say we will never step foot in the bar again. Also when I went the bathroom there was a mat under the urinals and it was reeking of urine I couldn't get my head around the thinking of that over all I I could give no stars on the...
