Had such high hopes for this. First to say everything looked very clean and well maintained and service was fairly quick. The Shawarma bread was excellent and the chips although just generic Musgrave affair were properly cooked and had a very nice seasoning on them. The price is definitely on the high side for the kebab at €19.50 for a meal that included chips and a bottle of agua. The biggest disappointment was the Shawarma itself while the meat was flavourful the quantity was very very light mostly packed with salad filler like lettuce and tomato.very little sauce so it was very dry and the filling was poorly constructed with the tiny few slices of meat at one end and very little to none throughout the rest of the kebab. I understand it was lunchtime and it was busy but it's a bad sign when an establishment doesn't give value for money I would estimate less than 15g in weight of meat was on the Shawarma. I would expect 10x the amount of meat considering the cost of the kebab. Very very disappointed I don't think I would return plenty of other kebab establishments close to this location offering far superior value for money if the kebab cost less than 5 quid I guess it would be ok but as it is, it's just not worth it. Overall 2/10. Staff was friendly and I felt welcome

What an absolute joke. The food. The ambience. The STAFF sheesh. They give attitude even when taking your order, feels like a favour being done to you. I stood at the till for 5 minutes while the woman at the till was just standing idle trying to avoid me?? If you ask for customisation or god forbid a question they bat their eyes and start talking in Turkish. Ask for some extra onion, they first take 5 minutes and talk with each other and then maybe give you like 5 rings of an onion. The blonde bleached hair woman at the till with a head scarf on is as rude as she can be. I even witnessed how a customer politely asked her to add fries to the meal while one other staff from the kitchen said we will give you fries for free and the blondie snubbed him in Turkish saying, “ben hallediyorum, sözünü kesme tamam mı” meaning don’t interrupt and let me handle it okay!! And very cleverly asked the customer for an extra euro. It was really sad to see such pathetic hospitality. The food served shouldn’t be called Turkish at all, it is raw, flavourless and really sub par. It was a big let down. The price you pay for a normal meal is 17€ which is not worth a single bit in this outlet. When you complain they justify it by saying this is how it is at our place. I mean I’ve wasted 65€ here with my family… I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Save your buck and have food elsewhere. City centre has a plethora of restaurants, don’t make the same mistake that I made. And please don’t assume that your customers don’t understand Turkish, şimdiye kadarki en...

Reyna – A Disappointing End to a Promising Visit

I recently visited Reyna around 11:35 PM, drawn in by its growing reputation and bustling atmosphere. While the restaurant was visibly busy, I was impressed at first—the staff managed to get my order out within 15 minutes, a commendable feat during a rush.

Unfortunately, the experience took a sharp turn for the worse just five minutes after my food arrived. Without any prior notice or courtesy, I was abruptly told that the restaurant was closing and I needed to leave. This message wasn’t delivered with the tact or professionalism one might expect from a reputable establishment—instead, the kitchen staff, particularly one young male employee, shouted rudely from the back that the restaurant was closed.

The lack of clear communication was troubling. If closing time was imminent, it would have been respectful—and quite standard practice—to inform customers upon entry that only takeaway service was available. Instead, customers were allowed to dine in and then rushed out mid-meal.

It’s disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, especially when the front-of-house experience initially showed promise. A restaurant’s hospitality is just as important as its food, and sadly, Reyna fell short on this front. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as no level of culinary quality can make up for an atmosphere of disrespect and disorganization.

Rating: 2/5 – Good food, but service and attitude left...
