Silver Leaf — Restaurant in Dublin

Visited 13th Aug for a sandwich to take away as I was rushing. Assistance behind the counter was trying to encourage me to get it toasted but I told her I didn’t have time, she asked a few times. There was about 4 sandwiches prepared already so she took the one at the bottom as she said it was the softest. Then I paid (€6.95) and left. I wanted to eat as I walked as I was starved, and opened it up when I was up the street. I took one bite and nearly broke a tooth! The whole sandwich was so hard, I wondered if this was the softest one, what was the others like (another reason the assistant was trying to get me to get it toasted so it would be softer with heat I’m guessing). I had to throw it in the next bin and go to the shop on the corner (Centra) for another sandwich as I didn’t have time to run back to ask for something fresh. Maybe a week later when I had time i contacted the restaurant via its website and explained what happened, to give them the opportunity to correct it before leaving a review. I think it’s important to give feedback privately to give a chance to redeem themselves and restore faith. Nobody replied :_( So here we are! I won’t return unfortunately and a pity feedback not acknowledged.

Terrible overpriced place. An omelette with 3 ingredients in it and one piece of toast for like 19e! Come on! Food- toast was charred! When I asked for a new one as it was not edible, another senior staff came to ask me if I paid for it… and had a terrible attitude. I had to explain twice that it was charred black and inedible. She then literally threw a new 2 pieces of toast flying on my table with an attitude. The omelette itself was not seasoned and burnt and chewy… I asked to have a bit of lettuce or salad instead of chips but for some reason couldn’t be accommodated for.. but I could ‘buy’ the same leafs / salad on the side even though I did not want or ate the chips. Super tasty food for affordable price. The stuff are friendly and very pleasant.

The Kiev cottlette they serve here is the VERY Kiev cottlette made the way it should be. Usually to eat it out of Ukraine is a risky thing, as mostly it’s either too buttery or too dry. And here it was just it - juicy enough to call it the Kiev cottlette and not too buttery either.
