Bäckerei Franziskaner — Restaurant in Bolzano - Bozen

The staff was shockingly unfriendly.

I was drawn in by the amazing offer in bread and pastries. One minute in and I was already asked three times what I wanted. The first two times I kindly asked for some time to have a look at all the choices (mind me, I was not standing in the way, there was more staff than customers atm). Feeling quite uncomfortable by the rudeness of the lady, I made a quick choice. She immediately packed in the two breadrolls I chose, without even asking if I wanted to eat in and made the bill. When I added that I would like a coffee with it to eat in, I got an incrediblely impolite and annoyed response. I was speaking in German, and the lady in question probably figured I am not a local and couldn’t speak Italian, of which I am happy because I wouldn’t want to know what she was probably mumbling about me in a very abusive tone. You could imagine that it did not feel welcoming at all for me to enjoy the food under her stare and glare.

A real shame, because the food is great. But really, it is not worth feeling so uncomfortable whilst you want to enjoy a nice breakfast on a holiday - as there are many other choices in Bolzano with kindhearted,...

Mag schon sein,dass der Cappuccino und der Krapfen sehr lecker waren, ABER das macht unsere Erfahrung leider nicht weniger schlimm..eine sehr schwache Frau hat ewig gewartet einen Tee und einen Toast zu bestellen..bei Euch ist selfservice... aber diese Frau war mindestens 85 Jahre alt und fragte ob sie bitte am Tisch bestellen kann, als ich gesehen habe,dass sich niemand um die Frau kümmert,habe ich die Kellnerin (ich glaube eine Ausländerin) gefragt ob sie bitte zur Frau gehen könnte die Bestellung auszunehmen, da sie einfach zu schwach ist nochmals aufzustehen... NEiN das macht sie nicht, hier ist selfservice... sie hätte nur 2 Meter rübergehen können, das wäre überhaupt kein Aufwand gewesen für die Kellnerin...so UNMENSCHLICH!!!!

Als ich ausgetrunken hatte, bin ich nochmal zum Budel und wollte dann selbst für die alte,arme Frau bestellen, dann eeeendlich ist eine andere,nette Kellnerin (Eine Einheimische,deutschsprachige) zur Frau und sie konnte endlich ihren Toast und Tee bestellen! Danke!

An die andere Kellnerin: Vergiss nie,dass auch du mal alt und gebrechlich sein wirst...ich hoffe,dass dann auch du mal auf so einen Menschen wir du es bist treffen wirst..so unmenschlich..ich bin einfach nur traurig über so...

Sono entrata in questo panificio con la mascherina (prima decina di luglio 2022) e una signora del personale, che era intenta a pulire un tavolo con dei clienti che si erano appena accomodati, ha iniziato a fare comunella e a deridermi ad alta voce con i clienti al tavolo perché avevo ancora la mascherina ed ero l'unica su decine di persone a portarla. Non è più obbligatorio portare la mascherina nei luoghi chiusi e sta al singolo scegliere se portarla o meno e come io rispetto chi decide di non portarla, pretendo rispetto dagli altri per la mia scelta. In conclusione, sono uscita dal panificio immediatamente senza acquistare nulla e mi sono rifiutata di entrarci nei giorni successivi, nonostante mi abbiano detto più persone che i prodotti siano ottimi. Mi dispiace ma l'educazione e il rispetto per il cliente viene...
