We had an early dinner there on New Year’s Eve. The food was authentic Italian, properly executed but nothing extraordinary and the menu also not particularly creative—though clearly Tuscan (with the glaring omission of Cannellini from the sides!) The quality of the bread, given that this is Florence, was substandard. The tagliata with truffle pecorino was perfectly cooked and a very generous portion. The tagliolini had a rather too dry sauce and only a couple of pieces of porcini. We ordered a side that was never delivered and they obviously felt bad about when I pointed it out that they should not charge us. They offered to make up for it by giving us an after-dinner drink (which we declined). The selection of wines by the glass and half bottles was limited but decent. We had made a reservation through an app and were asked to wire a deposit—which was inconvenient at best but we went ahead and did, and we were properly credited. Read moreA Dining Experience Elevated by Exceptional Service
I recently visited Osteria dei Leone, and while the food and atmosphere were already top-notch, it was Moaz who truly made the evening unforgettable.
The dishes were exquisite, with every bite showcasing the chef’s talent and attention to detail. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfectly balancing sophistication and comfort. But what stood out most was Moaz’s exceptional service.
From the moment we were seated, Moaz went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and attended to. His knowledge of the menu, genuine enthusiasm, and impeccable attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience. He didn’t just serve us; he crafted a memorable evening with his kindness and professionalism.
Osteria dei Leone is a gem in its own right, but with team members like Moaz, it truly shines. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough and will certainly return for the amazing food, the lovely atmosphere, and Moaz’s outstanding...
Read moreNothing but great things to say about this restaurant. My family and I stumbled upon it and we were graciously greeted by the owner, Gledi. He sat us at a beautiful table outside and we were attended to by him and a server who referred to himself as Obama. The service was incredibly attentive and fast without making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. Gledi was amazing to converse with and it was evident the love and passion he has for his craft. Obama kept us laughing throughout the whole experience while also being a great server. I would come back for the service alone, but the absolutely delicious pasta, bruschetta, wine, and desserts are an added bonus. The restaurant was full but it was not packed which made for a very peaceful experience compared to many other restaurants in the area. If you are looking for great pasta and great service, I would highly recommend this...
