Attention to the service order. we had our ten years old daughter with us. The food was again plenty. We had bruschetta, ravioli with butter and sage, ravioli with gorgonzola and penne with sausage and pecorini. The last dish didn´t really agree with us. To top it I had an osso bucco. Well done. Again, the price was very resonable compared to what we have been charged other places in Florence. Only thing. We went there a very hot evening and it was very hot inside as well. So it you have difficulty with heat consider to go there on a not so hot day. ##We arrived for a late lunch 10 min. before the kichen closed for the afternoon, so this review might not be entirely fair. The place has an authentic appearance. The portions were ambient and price was very resonable. Service lacked attention. We didn't get separate glasses four our water and I had to go and fetch the cheese for my pasta ragu myself. No bread.... We give * The food was not bad and since it is near to our appartement we might nevertheless give it a...
12 years ago when I lived in Florence I would often come here for their lunch special. I was young, at the time, and didn't realize how good I had it until I moved back home. I finally returned to Florence and this was my first restaurant stop. I can't explain the warm and fuzzies I got when I saw I had the same waiter as before, a similar menu, and that almost nothing had changed. It is the same perfect little family shop it was all those years ago. We ordered bruschetta - simply but perfectly done. We had a pasta al ragu which was split for us without our asking and was much appreciated. It was delicious. Then, we both ordered the lemon chicken. If you eat beef, however, I recommend trying their florentine steaks. They are to die for. We enjoyed our meal, wine, and grappa and if I have time before I leave again I will be back. I love it here. Anita is my favorite place to eat...
Read moreAmazing restaurant for Tuscan home cooking! We went there two times, really amazed by the food they served, delicious dishes for a reasonable price! Nothing fancy, down-to-earth home cooking style, if you are looking for michelin star cooking, this is not the one to go. But if you are looking for something authentic of Tuscany cuisine, somewhere that's cozy and casual, somewhere feel like home, this is the place to be. The waiters, although don't speak much English, are very friendly and will make you feel like home! For the all the dishes/desert in presented in the pictures, including a 1L wine, we spent $80 Euros for 3 adults definitely a very decent price in central Florence! We also went there for their lunch menu, for starter, pasta and main course for 12 Euros per person, very very very decent price for very very very delicious food, you can't beat it!...
