This place is not for you. Unless you’re good friends with Mr director, expect to be treated like a nuisance. Mr director and staff live in their own bubble, where basic service depends on their mood and how much money they can get from you, so maybe if you order a wine Mr director will tell you few jokes. Some staff are too afraid to even look at you and ask if you’re ready to order or everything is ok. No care, no experience, no hospitality.

And the food? At the beginning it was not even that bad, but in the end finished with diarrhoea on top of ruined evening. I only hope the money I spent goes to taxes - not to feed the arrogance people who works there. I really want to write a lot about my experience, but please, just done support this place. Let it sink to the bottom of the toilet, where it truly belongs. Attached video so mr director will have one less excuse to defend his...

Il Barreto in Florence is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed like family by the incredible owners (Maximo as his wife), whose warmth and passion make the experience truly special. The food is nothing short of exquisite—every dish is crafted with the finest ingredients, bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to the heart of Italian cuisine. Whether it’s the perfectly cooked pasta, the fresh seafood, or the decadent desserts, each bite is a testament to their dedication and love for food. A must-visit in Florence for anyone who appreciates outstanding cuisine and genuine hospitality!...

A Milanese iconic restaurant with a timeless atmosphere, great food, and service. When they changed location, we thought we had lost one of our favorite places to dine, but now they are back in an even more cozy, refined, and beautiful location. Vincenzo, the host, is an extraordinary host, and the food is great, as always. They will also go out of their way to accommodate you. If you love classic, original, and authentic Italian refined food, locations, and experiences, this is a place to visit over and over again. Il Baretto never disappoints, and too many restaurants should learn from them, but it is not a simple task to...

I was looking forward to a memorable Italian dinner in a beautiful setting – and the atmosphere here was indeed charming. The lighting, the décor, even the music felt like the Italy I missed. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the setting. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce lacked flavor, and the dessert tasted industrial. Such a pity, because with food to match the ambiance, this place could be unforgettable.
