Stumbled Upon a Creative Pasta Place in Rome! 🍝✨
maria kesidoumaria kesidou
We visited this place the first night in Rome and we had one starter and 2 different kind of pasta. Lazania and carbonara were both very good. Maybe the pasta in carbonara needed one more minute of cooking but it was fine. We were going to order the beef filet with blueberry but we didn't continue as the waiters were very rude. At first they served us a bottle of water that was already opened and there were white "things" floating inside. We asked for a closed bottle and the waiter gave us on but with a side eye as well. When we finished our food i decided to take some pictures of the place inside and then go to the restroom. I was asked by the same waiter If I need any help. I replied that I will go to the restroom and he asked me if I was sitting here(there were only 3 tables at that time sitting in the restaurant) when I replied that of course and you actually served us he said in Italian to his coworker "ah the aqua girl" and laughed. They never checked our table if we needed to order anything else and they knew from the beginning that we will choose something from the second course. I think we are not going to give a second chance to this place.

This place does look like a tourist trap from the beginning BUT HEAR ME OUT!!! Their food was actually amazing for what they charged! I found this place on maps before coming so I wasn’t sure the actual outside atmosphere but saw reviews and pics looked good so decided to come here, and when we first came, i 100% thought I made a mistake in choosing the place seeing how waiters are waving people in ( Not saying it’s a bad thing it’s just i’ve fell for tourist traps like those where they wait people inside and lure with pictures but the actual product is bad), and so I first started with just a pizza. My parents ordered some amazing pastas and so did my sister and we honestly didn’t expect much because my dad ordered calamari, and it came in a REALLY small portion so that was a bit disappointing. But when our main course arrived everything was so AMAZING! My pizza was the best i’ve had so far and my dad’s truffle thing was actually good! My sister ended up loving her spaghetti meatballs and said that’s the best she had in italy and then i knew this place may or may not be touristy but def is worth coming to!

Worst Customer Service Experience Ever - Avoid This Restaurant otherwise they will call POLICE 👮 to chase you.

If you’re considering dining here, think again. We came with high hopes but left deeply disappointed after being treated with blatant disrespect by the owner and staff, culminating in the police being called on us.

We specifically informed the waiter that we are vegetarian when placing our order. However, we were served a fish pizza. Mistakes can happen, and we politely requested a replacement, only to be rudely told by the waiter that the only option was to place a new order and pay for it. Seeking a resolution, we approached the manager, hoping for better treatment, but were met with even more hostility. He claimed it wasn’t his problem, and we had to pay because we ordered it.

I explained that we don’t speak or read Italian well, and the mistake likely stemmed from a misunderstanding, but we clearly stated that we are vegetarian. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager scolded us and shockingly called the police, accusing us of refusing to pay. I couldn’t believe that for a €12 pizza, they couldn’t simply replace it and instead called the police—what a shame on customer service. As if that wasn’t enough, they placed two or three staff members outside the restaurant to ensure we wouldn’t leave before the police arrived.

As an international visitor from Canada, I’ve never experienced such disgraceful behavior. This ordeal ruined our day and left us with a terrible impression of the local hospitality. Save yourself the trouble—this is not the kind of experience you...

A Place to fall in Love with! If you are in Rome and looking for more than just a meal- if you want a beautiful experience that warms your heart, you must try this restaurant.Tucked away in the charming streets of the historic center, this restaurant serves truly divine food. Every dish is prepared with care, nicely presented, and full of rich, authentic Roman flavor. The ingredients are fresh, the portions generous, and each bite is a little celebration of tradition and love for good food. But what makes this place truly unforgettable is the incredible family behind it. Mario and Graziella, the heart and soul of the Osteria, welcome you like old friends. Their son Francesco and his lovely wife Valeria are just as kind and passionate. The whole family is a joy to be around. The staff reflects that same warmth: professional, friendly, fast, and always smiling. The atmosphere is cozy, elegant without being pretentious, and full of Roman charm. It's the kind of place where conversations flow, and you don't want the evening to end. Surprisingly reasonable, especially given the quality of the food, the central location, and the impeccable service. Antica Osteria di Pietra is hands down one of my favorite places in Rome. It's not just a restaurant, it' s a place to return to, again and again. My husband ( he is the Italian one) and I absolutely adore it, and we recommend it. If you are lucky enough to get a table here, enjoy every bite, every smile, every moment. Because places like Antica Osteria di Pietra don' t just feed you, they stay with you....

Antica osteria di pietra is the perfect dinner spot. Beautiful decor, great food (the tiramisu and cacio e pepe were amazing), and incredible service. My friends and I made a reservation for 7. But as the day got the best of us (you know…when in Rome), we showed up 40 minutes late. The Lord himself then sent us an angel, Fahim (our waiter). This man guaranteed us that we would be seated in 5 minutes. So, five minutes pass, and we are seated in beautiful Roma! I had a good feeling. We expressed that we were in a bit of a rush, as we were trying to catch a train after our meal. We knew what we wanted—cacio e pepe, the caesar (in the name of Julius, of course), fungi pizza, and tiramisu. Fahim told us everything would come in time. And as it goes, what Fahim says goes. So, our food came out much earlier than expected. HOWEVER, do not get me wrong…the food was still delicious. In fact, it was more than delicious…one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Perfectly al dente pasta (we got ourselves that extra fiber), creamy caeser dressing, and a delicious pizza topped with our day’s dose of Vitamin D (it wasn’t a sunny day in Roma)! The food was incredible, but Fahim’s service is what really made this experience for me. He restored my faith in the hospitality industry. Despite the stresses of the restaurant industry and those terrible tourists, Fahim remained calm, cool, and collected. In fact, my faith in God was also restored because of this experience. I needed a sign from the Lord to strengthen our relationship. Fahim was that sign. Thank...
