Bar Della Vite — Restaurant in Rome

I chose this place thinking is a small local business with real italian food. I ordered a vegetarian pizza (no ingredients mentioned in the menu). I had the unpleasant surprise to receive a pizza with zucchini, potato, spinach, carrot and other vegetables (all overcooked in advance) not related to pizza. I tried to eat a slice but veggies were really old, I left it almost full in the plate and asked the waiter if ingredients were fresh. He said yes, but I showed him a very old potato, he took the plate away asking if I wanted something else and I only asked for the check. Of course pizza it was on the check, I said is not fair to pay since I couldn’t eat but he said that’s the policy, took the money, said he is sorry and left. Really bad experience…do...

This place is great. Some of these reviews are just bad tourists. Like maybe don't order an English breakfast in Italy? Maybe don't leave your country if you just want your own culture? All the local early service workers come here for their coffee. It's good coffee, not exceptional. The baked items are good, not exceptional. Great food and very kind people! We went in to buy something to drink and ended up having one of the best lunches we had in Roma. The chief is extremely nice and patient, place filled with locals that seem to know why they come here regularly.
