Tre in Lucina is an exceptional dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the attentive and friendly staff.
What truly sets Tre in Lucina apart is their impeccable service. The staff members are incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Their passion for providing a memorable dining experience was evident in every interaction.
My daughter had her birthday dinner and they served her dessert with a birthday candle and sang for her. They made sure all the guests were comfortable and served the food in a timely manner.
We regularly had our morning coffee and afternoon snacks in Tre in Lucina during our vacation. Kudos to the baristas, the coffee was always great. Compared to the other restaurants in the piazza, Tre was more accommodating, had better food generally, and presented good value for money considering its location and caliber.
The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant, yet comfortable, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The decor is stylish and tastefully done, creating a welcoming space to enjoy your meal. Whether you're dining with a group of friends or having a romantic evening with a loved one, Tre in Lucina provides the perfect setting.
Overall, my many dining experiences at Tre in Lucina were truly memorable. Special thanks to the managers, Mario and Andrea and all the the staff. The combination of outstanding food, excellent service, and a warm and inviting atmosphere made it a standout restaurant in Rome. If you're looking for a culinary gem in the heart of the city, Tre in Lucina is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to return and indulge in their delicious...
Read moreUnfortunate and poor experience. As a North American tourist, my general feelings of dining in Rome are mixed, and the Wife and myself took a gamble on this place on our final night in Rome.
The ambiance was nice, though par for this area of Rome. As I do not speak the native language, we put a lot of trust into the advise of the (fake?) Friendly waiters. After paying the bill, and following my wife's advise to "not cause a scene" I felt mostly taken advantage of and emotionally deflated. Not a good end to our first (and last) trip to Rome.
We discussed the posted menu with the waiter upon arrival. What we wanted was a good selection of sliced meats and cheeses, and a drink. They had some great combinations, so we decided to stay.
In the end, they delivered a two types of sliced cheese on a platter, and a great selection of sliced meats. After asking about the cheeses, they said they were preparing another plate. Maybe it was the plan, but it felt like if we had not said anything, they would have left it at that. They then brought out a ladel of cottage cheese and some smoked cheese, not really what we were expecting. But what do North American toursit know?
The end bill was more than expected, and after asking about it, they said the 40 euro item was including 2 16 euro menu item and the focatta bread. 8 euros for the bread seems insane, am I wrong? Not sure as it was not on the menu. Also the 16 euro cheese selection was not what was listed, and the final 85 euro bill is essentially the last 85 euros I am grudgingly handing over...

I recently visited Tre in Lucina, a restaurant with an inviting ambiance and a prime location in Italy. However, my experience was greatly diminished by the poor service. Our waiter, Joseph, who mentioned he was from Tbilisi, was particularly rude and unpleasant throughout the meal, which cast a shadow over what could have been a delightful dining experience.
Right from the moment we sat down, Joseph’s attitude was dismissive. He seemed annoyed when we inquired about the menu, answering with brief and curt responses. Simple requests, like asking for more bread or a refill of water, were met with audible sighs and slow service. At one point, when we asked for recommendations, Joseph’s response was sharp, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Although the food was well-crafted and flavorful, the unfriendly service left a negative impact that lingered. It’s unfortunate that such behavior overshadowed the evident talent of the kitchen. With the restaurant’s potential, the unprofessional service provided by Joseph is a significant drawback.
I hope Tre in Lucina’s management takes steps to address this issue to create a more positive experience for future patrons. Dining out should be a pleasant and enjoyable experience, and it’s disheartening when poor service detracts from an otherwise promising...
