We dined there during our first night in Rome after we had visited Vittoriano, you could say that our expectations where high but were also catastrophically shut down. I can't say that I've ever eaten anything this horrible, and I don't want to be rude. Although the staff were polite and the view was incredible, it did not make up for the quality of the food. We had ordered two pastas, one lasagna (the only good dish) and one burger. The burger was as hard as stone, as if it were made to break teeth, and the pasta... it should've been named "Salt Fettuccine" instead. When I say that the expectations and the whole experience of authentic italian food was destroyed, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. We were so traumatized that we went to mcdonalds instead because we didn't want to set foot near anything like that again. The carbonara tasted AND smelled like human puke was blended with lots and lots of salt (not exaggerating) and the same goes for the fettuccine al ragu and i know for a fact that it's not supposed to be like that. Something was wrong. We wanted to ask the personell if it was supposed to taste the way it did but did not want to sound rude. It was so salty that I got acne and I dont even have most of my skin care products with me on this trip to save myself. To think that I paid 100 euros for food that eventually made me break out, and tasted like that... I think its sad to be this disappointed on the first night in a new country, a country whose food you've heard so much about. Once again, the staff were nice, I wish them all the best. I think serving good drinks is their stronger side because they actually looked good and people seemed...
Read moreWe made this bistro our first visit and our last visit when we were in Rome for the week between 22.06.25 to 27.06.25 - It was an amazing place for food, friendliness, location and vibe. Michal and the other staff made us feel immediately at home with their friendly service and food recommendations, we had lunch and dinner over the three visits we made, along with drinks and everytime the service was great. The food is delicious and anyone looking for that quick bite or relaxing meal Diddi can provide this for you, nothing is too much trouble. Location wise they are a little off to the side of Vittor Emmanuelle Monument but with a little bit of Goggle Map searching they are easily found and accessible from all directions from the Jewish Quarter and Pantheon as well as the main Monument. Comfortable seating with mist air for those summer days we had 34 to 38 most days so well ready for some cold refreshment and a little of watching the world go by. Eat as much or as little as you want the staff are there to help and incredibly informative, I can recommend them for a lovely evening meal also under table lit lanterns. We wish you all the success with your new venture, it has only recently become a bistro so for all those who view and are able to visit please do so, I hope you will not be disappointed. gazie per i ricordi...
Read moreHorrendous service and bad energy from staff!!! Awful Bistro and extremely rude staff. My parents had a drink, some tapas and cake, my sisters and I joined them for a drink afterwards to be met with an extremely rude staff member (looked and seemed hungover), who had a massive issue with the rest of our family looking to sit for drinks. When I asked another staff member if all was okay, the other ride staff member replied ‘no’, it’s lunchtime. We felt extremely unwelcomed and unwanted. We Would never ever recommend this place to any one travelling to Rome. We are Irish and believe service with a smile and a welcome does not cost anything!!!! One star is too much for this place!...
