This is actually my first and only review I've written, but felt there was a need for it. This little restaurant made Rome even more special for us when visiting, its just opposite the hotel Dei Borgia and we were welcomed with open arms, as stated in other reviews the staff there are wonderful and they were the reason we ate there every night of our stay, not only were the staff wonderful but the food is amazing. I tried the Carbonara on the first night and they had me sold, i have NEVER tasted a Carbonara that good in all my life. The flavours were so rich and went so well together and out of all the meals i had during my stay in Rome that one i will never forget, my girlfriend said the bologna and the lasagna were heaven and of course i had a try and fully agree. There was an older gentleman in the restaurant that served us each night that we knew as "P" (Palmiro) and i have to say hes exceptional, polite, attentive and just overall lovely to talk to. I think my girlfriend low key fell in love with him. we went on his recommendation each night and were never disappointed (the tiramisu is also lovely and i normally don't like tiramisu as i find the coffee over powering but they got it just right). Prices there are also great. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop in as you wont...
Read moreThis restaurant is amazing. Stopped in with my wife for dinner and we were blown away. The prices were extremely fair compared to other spots in the city. The food was authentic and amazing. We had Fettucinni ala Bolognese and Gnocci with Tomato Sauce. Both dishes were some of the best food we have had in Rome. The sauce was so delicious that we both cleaned our plates off with bread once we were finished. The Waiter brought us a complimentary plate of zucchini/eggplant/pepper with oil and bread as an appetizer and it was excellent. We shared a Tiramisu for desert and it was the best I have ever eaten. Our waiter Andrea was amazing. The restaurant wasn't that busy because we came early for dinner, so we had the pleasure of chatting with him. I ended up staying for over 2 hours drinking beer and talking with him about Rome and life in Italy. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and obviously Italian. It was one of the best dining experiences we have had on our vacation. I recommend anyone to visit...
Read moreOutstanding experience dining at this little gem. We were fortunate enough that our hotel was literally a half block down the street. Ate here our first night in Rome and enjoyed it so much that we returned a few days later for dinner on our last night. We tried multiple restaurants while we were in town but this was by far the best. The food was excellent. Great pasta, salads and pizza. Outstanding beer too. But honestly what made our experience memorable was the staff and the service. The whole staff was warm and welcoming. They all spoke several languages with good English so no need to worry about any language difficulties. I want to especially thank our server, Andrea, for his warm hospitality. He was great with our kids and went above and beyond to ensure our we all had a great time. I would highly recommend this place. Ask for Andrea when...
