Ristorante Pizzeria Grande Secolo — Restaurant in Rome

WARNING : Avoid this restaurant due to extremely poor service.

This was the worst dining experience we had during our trip to Rome. The female staff member was shockingly rude and showed zero respect toward us as customers.

After visiting the Church, our group of nearly 30 people walked to the restaurant. Since some members of our group were elderly, they arrived more slowly, and a few stopped briefly to buy souvenirs. Because of this, we didn’t all arrive at the same time.

From the moment we entered, the female staff member was already complaining loudly. Even after our entire group had arrived, she continued to scold us unpleasantly, creating a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Many of us lost our appetite and decided to leave early and head back to the hotel.

As we were about to board our bus, the same woman came outside and tried to record a video of one of our group members without permission — a clear invasion of privacy. When we confronted her, she became aggressive and physically harassed one of the women in our group.

Things escalated even further when a male staff member (dressed in black) suddenly attacked our tour leader, punching him in the face and causing his nose to bleed.

This was the first time we’ve ever experienced such horrible, unacceptable treatment from a restaurant. I would not recommend this...

As a group, we already paid for our food, and we were forbidden to eat the food because some of us came late. So we asked to take away, but was declined (even though we already paid for our food), and the Chinese woman was very rude, screaming at us from start to finish and demanding us to order separately and not eat our paid food. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was empty with no other customers inside.

We had the right to take a picture of the restaurant, so we can report you. However, you filmed us and chasing us on the street with your phone filming us. Then a Chinese guy punched our tour leader.

I recently visited your restaurant for what was meant to be a special anniversary dinner with my girlfriend, and I can honestly say it was the worst dining experience I’ve had in over a decade.

The moment we walked in, the place reeked of urine. On top of that, the server had an overwhelming body odor, which made the atmosphere nearly unbearable. Unfortunately, the food was no better — in fact, it was the most inedible meal I have ever been served.

To make matters worse, the experience was so unpleasant that it contributed to my girlfriend leaving me on the spot. What should have been a memorable evening turned into a complete disaster.
