Rooftop Jim's Bar — Restaurant in Rome

Ripping off tourists. Claim they are a 5 star hotel which is why they can charge 24 euros of one single cocktail. Ordered the Hugo spritz which consists of prosecco, mint, and soda water. 24 Euros!!!! At any local restaurant I could have enjoyed a full bottle of prosecco for that price. The service was slow and repetitive. I clearly told the nice young woman that I wanted to sit for a quick drink. I ordered my drink and 10 minutes passed by. She then comes with chips and peanuts and other snacks. I let her know not to waste them because I only came for a quick drink. Another 4 minutes passed and I finally got my drink. I asked her for the check and told her I had a credit card. She repeated “card” and nodded her head. Another 3 minutes passed and she comes back to confirm that I wanted the check to pay. Yes. Another 3 minutes passed so I went inside to keep her from walking outside to check me out. I waited another 5 minutes because their system wasn’t working. I didn’t have cash. Finally I get the receipt for 24 euros which is $28.33. I was appalled. But the bartender said it was because they were a “5 star hotel”. I live in an expensive area in Southern California and I have never paid for $28 for a basic cocktail. I even told the front desk how appalling the price of the drink was and they...

We visited the rooftop bar on our last day in Rome and it was an amazing experience the view from the rooftop was beautiful, far up from the busy streets and just lovely to soak the city in. The staff were amazing super friendly from the greeting at the door of the hotel and the staff/server waiting for us to get out of the elevator at the bar to seat us. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any names but everyone we spoke to were professional and friendly. The drinks we had were some the best cocktails we’ve had so the price was worth it and they even came with complimentary snacks like crisps, nuts and olives. The weather was amazing but we had no worries about the sun in our eyes as the server was there to move the umbrellas each time the light passed through, felt like a VIP treatment. The seating was comfortable and relax so what was a stop in for 1 drink turned into a 2/3 stay (we took the time to video call the family and rub there noise in the view😂) 10/10 and we are definitely gunna be back to the rooftop on...
