Great atmosphere with contemporary jazz in the background, this fun find is a blend of tradition and innovation, this was the place to move past typical pastas and embrace the chef’s vision. We started out with a fried fish appetizer served with potato foam. The tiny fish were coated with a whiff of breading so they had the slightest crunch. The potato foam was almost like a light mayonnaise. Our main courses were the Cod Ravioli and the Quail with figs and lard. The cod, in an al dente ravioli, was served with a tasty coconut milk sauce. The Quail was flavorful, crisp, and perfectly complimented by the figs. Our server suggested a Venetian Blanco that balanced perfectly with the Cod. We were so intrigued and pleased at this point that we had to have dessert. We chose the Chocolate Craquelin, which was delicious. Resembling a macaron, cafe gelato was in the middle of cream mascarpone, on a bed of crumbled coffee, with warm caramel...

Vittoria dal 1938 is an amazing artistic jewel just off the Grand Canal. We wanted to duck in for a quick bite as we had a late big lunch but ended up with a very satisfying experience. Extremely welcoming wait staff!! Matilda was happy to have me try out various wines till we found one that suited our taste. Chef Nikolo has created a menu full of surprises. A handmade crisp made of squid ink and topped with a concoction of anchovy and sardine paste that is incredible. The ravioli with bits of beef tongue was good but the sauce and puree he used was highly complimentary. His desert menu is a fusion of traditional Italian and tastes from the East. Mango sorbet and coriander chutneys create interesting flavor combinations that do not overpower. I highly recommend trying out Vittoria if you are in the mood for a different trattoria fare. BTW they have a great selection of music which is a nice mood...

We’ve been here twice. You can sit at The establishment itself. Or, you can sit at their tables by canal next to the bridge. In the morning we had coffee and in the afternoon we had bears. The establishment doesn’t have a direct view of the tables bu the canal. So we had to wait a few minutes for someone to take our orders. But the coffee came quickly and it was really good. The tables that are by the canal belong to two different establishment. We didn’t know that and went staight in to the shop next to which the tables stood. They told me that they were not their tables amd show me where to go. When we came back for the beer we went straight to the establishment to order than went to sit. The staff is very friendly. The establishment is decorated very warmly the view of the tables is amazing....

Great Venetian ingredients reinvented in creative ways. A good first impression of this country's rich culinary reputation. The menu stands out from the cookie cutter tourist menus found all over the island. They've got a nice dining room with open kitchen, giving view on the professional chefs working their art. Otherwise, the restaurant offers a fantastic outdoor terrasse by the Grand Canal. I recommend the "cappucino" al nero di seppia with a lightly chilled bottle of Refosco. The group was very impressed. Prices are fair for the quality. Elisabetta and her staff are very kind and attentive. My first stop on every Italian culinary trip. My groups always love it!
