We ate a very late lunch here. Great location with three restaurants in a little square. Unfortunately we did not pick the right one. It is great that you can order any time during the day, but maybe that also causes less interest in the cooking of the food in this particular case. The italian produce they use is, of course, of great quality. But the preperation is lack lustre, bland and overall gives a disinterested feeling. The carpaccio with lightly smoked fish with fennel stripes and orange was just that. One slice of orange and thinly cut fennel on fish on a bed of red salade. Dry and uninteresting. But could have been brilliant if the orange would have been used for a dressing with orange pieces and they would loose the red salad. The main for me was a tortellini with fish filling, butter and sage. Filling was tangy and not balanced, butter was just there but not as I would have wanted. The sage had been somewhat heated up in the butter making it greasy and bitter instead of nice and crispy. And who needs a whole handfull of small sage leaves attached to the stalks I wonder. My husband had the beef filet with balsamico sauce. The beef was great quality and cooked well. The sauce however was way to acidic and felt like it was literally a beef sauce that had balsamico thrown in, no balance in taste. I would recommend to look at reviews when choosing a restaurant in this square which we for once forgot to do…. Save yourself an...

The 2 pasta dishes we ordered were bad. Worst spaghetti vongole I ever had. Clams not fresh. Instead of being cooked with the pasta, clams were COLD just arranged AROUND the pasta. No white wine used in vongole sauce. More aiglio olio style. Very dry. €15. Ripoff. The takeaway pasta st BIGOLI LAMO was SO MUCH better at only €6 and was even served PIPING HOT.

My hubby's melazanne pasta wad just as bad. Eggplant sauce was lukewarm and dumped on top of his pasta with COLD mozzarella cheese.

The chef probably thought that since we were foreign tourists, we wouldn't know any better and just didn't bother to whip up a decent meal.

We were served by 3 wait staff. The first was reasonably polite and helpful. The 2nd and 3rd wait staff, bad, esp the 2nd one who made it quite obvious he didn't like serving us one bit.

For locals, it may be different. For us, a bad experience. Tourist trap. Avoid at all cost.

I usually do not pen reviews of eateries on my travels. Can't expect too much as tourists. Some eateries we previously went to were really good. Most were acceptable. But I feel compelled to warn other tourists about this restaurant in...

The food in the restaurant was very good, the only dessert was not up to the level of tiramisu, but everything was edible and you could feel all the necessary flavors of tiramisu. However, we waited too long for our food and not only us but also the other guests around us started complaining and commenting. It's one thing if one person is not satisfied, but for 3 tables around us to loudly comment on the rudeness and slowness was confirmation of our opinion. The waitress cut me with her long nails while serving me, which I believe have no place in the catering industry. She apologized but I had to go to the toilet to stop the bleeding. The main course I ordered arrived wrong, they apologized and brought what I ordered as soon as possible, but how can you not take all that into account when every next step was getting worse. In the end, when I asked for the bill to pay, I waited for it for 20 minutes. During our lunch, the restaurant employee sent away two women and shouted loudly that they were stupid. Therefore, regardless of the food which is really good, the service is a disaster. Only one younger male waiter was...

Had dinner here as a solo female diner. Quickly shown to a table and seated. The service was relatively swift if not overly chatty but that could have been because I didn’t speak Italian and perhaps their English wasn’t brilliant. The glass of prosecco was served from a freshly opened bottle with the offer to taste first. (a plus) I ordered the Hare and Pappardelle ragu. Had to pay €3 for Coperto which was supposed to be bread, olive oil etc etc but all I got was the bread. Small serving of the pappardelle but it was Primi not a secondi. It came relatively quickly and unfortunately the ragu was rather dry and not as tasty as it could have been. Very disappointing. The pasta was well cooked though. All in all a lovely neighbourhood osteria, not too expensive and good service. Would I come again? Nope. I’d try somewhere else as a visitor to the city.

I really wanted to like this more than I did unfortunately. Good: - The service is fantastic. The female head that day (or owner) was just so funny, welcoming and lovely to chat with. - The atmosphere & vibe is locals having a relaxed, chatty evening. - Good wine selection. Not as good: - the food was nice but not great. We tried the horse meat stew w/ polenta (nice), lasagna (ok, bit dry), orzo salad (good), & cheese appetisers (very good). We finished with tirimasu (nice, very light & not heavy at all). Prices are reasonable and vibe is good, just expect an ok dinner (also very, very limited vegetarian options).

I do not recommend. Had to ask for our water and wine after we already recieved our appetizer long after ordering. Then waited half an hour from our appetizers being cleared for our mains to arrive while the owner, manager and servers sat beside us and had their entire meal. I ordered tortellini stuffed with bacala and had a pea puree on the side which tasted like vinegar and was very dry. My friend tasted it and said it tasted like cat food. My boyfriend had a caprese to start and the tomatoes were hard, his main was also dry and flavorless. After a 14 day trip in Italy we finally found a place that had bad food.
