Chokenmen — Restaurant in Osaka

Chokenmen is definitely the hidden gem in Osaka:)) tbh I was a bit hesitated at first because of the malfunctioning ticket machine and the relatively less maintained environment. BUT the boss of that one-man ramen resto was just so nice and he came out to greet me when I was having trouble outside. I am glad that I tried or else I might be regretted! I ordered number one(tsukemen) of the menu and the food came fast. The broth is tasty but not thirsty. Also, the noodles are chewy. Despite the language barrier, you can truly feel how warmhearted the Chokenmen boss is:) In additional to the Japanese movie like setting, I had a very delightful dinner and experience for the local culture:) Chokenmen deserves more spotlight! Delicious ramen, lots of options and quick service. I accidently ordered the wrong bowls since some of the numbers on the older sign outside didn’t correspond to the current menu. I showed the owner which bowls I wanted to order and he had no problem changing them for me. He even gave me change since what I wanted to order was less than what I paid. 🤩🙇‍♀️ Small shop either two tables for 4 people max at each and a counter with 7 seats or so.

I was just walking by and saw this small shop in the corner. Decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. The place is tiny but has a great vibe.

The tsukemen was super tasty. The broth was rich and full of flavor, and the noodles had a perfect chewy texture. The portion was satisfying, and everything felt freshly made.
