I was going to leave a 1 star review but I feel that would be a little unfair to the establishment so let me set the stage first and explain.
We arrived with a extra large party and understandably had a bit of a wait, but they eventually put some tables together and sat us all together, which is more than would be possible at most establishments. Once we sat down there was a lot of confusion about the ordering process which is done from your phone in a shared cart for your party. It's easy to accidentally over order food and so many extras were ordered that were not wanted, again that's our fault not the establishment but some more guidance would be helpful. Additionally this place serves raw chicken which may upset your stomach if you're not used to it, which we are not aware of going in, once again, our fault.
Now onto the rest of the review, Serving sizes are huge for the noodle and ramen dishes, folks who ordered those were pretty happy. The chicken and meat sticks came out raw/undercooked in the middle, which upset some of our people and led to some wasted food and stomach aches. Multiple line items were paid for that never made it to the table, there was no accounting for what was and wasn't brought out, probably about 2000 yen worth of food. We did point out one item that was never brought out and they eventually did bring it after everyone else was done eating, though it too was undercooked. We left a small tip as it's advertised they accept tips on the menu, and then asked for To go boxes for the extra food that was ordered. They then asked us to pay for the to go boxes which felt like a bit of an insult after we had just paid then for multiple items that never came AND left a tip. Service wasn't bad per se but not attentive enough to notice any of the above issues which left us feeling underwhelmed and a bit unhappy with our visit.
TLDR: Pros: Serving sizes for the noodles/soups are very large Nice environment with friendly staff if nothing else. Cons: Chicken usually comes out undercooked or raw in the middle. It can take a long time to get your food The ordering process is clumsy, hard to understand, and prone to over ordering. There's no accounting for what's actually brought to the table compared to what...
Read moreVisitors to Japan, don't just stay in tourist spots, because you will miss places like these. On a quiet side street, you will find this charming yakitori spot with many great decorations. Inside is very comfortable and modern, and staffed by wonderful, helpful people. This place has an english menu, and very patient staff who will do their best to communicate with you. I tried and recommend the assorted set, which goes beyond a traditional yakitori place. Some examples include one with spicy pollack roe and one tomato with pesto! The prices are a bit more, but the ingredients are higher quality and recipes more creative. Well worth the price. After the meal, every staff member came by to say goodbye and enthusiastically thanked me for coming. I really hope more foreigners will give places like this a chance, because their creativity and youth are the future of Osaka!
To the staff, I hope my words make it to you. Thank you for making my first visit to Japan very special! I hope to be back very soon!...
Read moreThe service was great. Even though I don’t know the language it was nice to see how they have accommodated English. I love ramen 🍜 which was what I ordered. I don’t know why but the juices taste so much better in Japan 🇯🇵 so I had an apple juice. Overall, great job in executing my Delicious meal. I am staying for two more days….which means … more of this place.?! Yes.. best of all they accept my...
