Embankment Coffee — Restaurant in Osaka

A great little find while wondering around the streets of Osaka on a rainy Saturday morning. The La Marzocco and gentle indie folk made for a comforting entrance. We tried espresso based coffee (latte) as they also serve drip. The latte’s were very nice although can be a bit stronger. Decor is simple and clean, warm. Only thing I would suggest for a fifth star is broadening out the food menu (the upside down cake with a dollop of cream was delish).

Had a latte, they were happy to pull a 20 gram basket for me which was great. Latte was well presented, like most japanese coffee places, large focus on their own roasts which are weighted heavily to light-medium selections for both filter and espresso.

follow up Cortado was well presented and well brewed.

I found this cafe while walking north, away from the bustling Dotonbori area, along the river. You order and pay first, then find a seat, and they bring the food to your table. A large river flows next to the cafe, and cruise ships are constantly passing by. It's a great place to relax and chat while enjoying the view. The pound cake was soft, sweet, and paired very well...
