I was recommended to go to the infamous Giljotin by a local, she told me if you think you can handle your spice try this spot out and ask for the speciest they will give you (which normaly is level 7 and you can ask to do it as a challendge do unlock new levels). Note that the spice in the food really isnt that bad, it's the jolokia that knocks you out.
This is a sacred spot among spice lovers in japan and I certainly get that. Second they started cooking my fried rice the air inside the whole establishment got spicy and made me cough. Just to give a bit of a refference on the atmosphere.
I do pull the food a little bit down due to the drieness, think they probably could compensate a little with higher level of spice. This doesn't mean the food wasn't good though. Wasn't happy with the service as we felt we were secondary customers.
Overall the food is okay, but the service is unfortunately bad especially if you're...
Read moreGood service, the cook was able to speak English and also provided an English menu. Also kindly translated for us to communicate with other guests when she was free. Awesome spicy food, we picked level “5” spicy and was just the right amount! Recommend the beef tongue, the spicy fry chicken and the spicy fried rice! Beer and bottled drinks were self service so you had to go get it yourself. The hot sake was great too! We ordered too much and shared with other guests, a dinner should set you...
