Rikimaru Shinsaibashi — Restaurant in Osaka

They are doing FALSE ADVERTISING. DO NOT try this restaurant however if you must DO NOT try their EAT ALL YOU CAN plan. This is literally the worst experience we had in Osaka. Our perception of all Japanese being good, honest people just went down the drain(Of course that is not possible however its because we encountered a lot of good ones that made us think that way). Anyhow this is our experience.

We went for their most expensive eat all you can plan which cost around 3700yen with tax, this does not include drinks. That is good however since we dont really like any sugary or alcoholic beverage and just prefer plain water.

The server however immediately told us we NEED to order beverage. It seems she wants us to order the unlimited drink plan which cost an additional 1000yen. We however chose to have 1 orange juice each instead since we'll just go for water afterwards and did not went with their recommendation.

For around the first 40mins the food came quickly, we had around 2 servings of beef during that time when we ran out of orange juice. We then ordered our 3rd serving along with a glass of water. This is where it all went really bad.

For the following minutes, the orders did not come even the glass of water! We kept on following up the orders and they will say its being processed in the kitchen.

We already know whats going on. That they are just stalling for time since the plan is just for 2 hours. We gave up on the food coming anytime soon and just ask for the water to come first instead.

This is where it really pissed me off because even the water did not come. We literally spent the next 40 min just staring and waiting.

When it did finally came, not all our orders was given. The beef cuts were also significantly smaller.

After around 10 mins the server came and told us if we have any last order. We went for ice cream and 1 last small beef since to be honest we were still hungry, the server however rejected the beef order! She clearly was not happy that we ordered another beef eventhough she's trying to put a smile on her face. She gave an excuse that we need to order more drinks! We didnt even have that much yet. I swear to God I am not making this up.

No wonder our food and water arrived slowly. They were not happy because they expect everyone to go for the unlimited drink plan which would bring the bill to around a total of 4700yen each.

What disappointed us was that we added the price of what we ordered as an ala carte and it did not even reached the price of their eat all you can plan.

I am not exactly sure why this restaurant is getting good to average review and these are the reasons I can only think of.

While this restau may have good steaks, we've tasted something way better around the korean town area. Cant remember the name of the restau though since we cant read japanese. Anyhow, just beware...

This place is not worth going to in any way, shape or form. When push came to shove, my 84 year-old mother, who has memory loss, was having a minor but very concerning medical emergency. She had not eaten for hours and the heat got to her where she was about to pass out. This happens with her as she forgets to eat and says she has eaten. The only thing the waiter cared about was getting our drink order. We had other family in the table next to us and asked if we could get some food from their table to get her nourishment. She is a retired physician and said she felt like she was having heat stroke. She was not but her suffering, to her, was extreme. This was not a game or a ploy. We knew she needed sustenance. The waiter would not allow us to grab food from their table due to their “all-you-can-eat” policy. We let them know that we were paying for both tables and we were all together. They did not care. We grabbed food anyways. It did not matter what we said or did. That’s what was happening and I had never seen that before in any restaurant. We’ve eaten in a couple of other places (Don Don 2 was incredible… better everything, especially the meat) around Osaka, very close to this location, and all were exponentially better in every way. The meat at this location was bland despite the fact we ordered salt and pepper seasoning. They obviously do not care about people and only care about looking out for themselves. The Chinese staff are super rude, when u tell People your age they do not care. Under 12 you get discounts, my table said the children who were indeed 11 years old, they wrote our check as the adult charge! The staff were super rude too, we told them before hand that there were 4 extra people coming in 10 minutes and that if they could please safe one table , they agreed. When the extra 4 people came it, they were rudely greeted with a “wait outside”. No hello or anything! The restaurant was not busy at all so they definitely had time to welcome the customers. The extra 4 people were told they couldn’t sit at the table next to us because we already started eating, like what kind of reason is this?! That table wasn’t even reserved. When the extra 4 people ordered meat, they were served with the slices with most fat, the table next to them ordered the same and they got nice and delicious beef with only small parts of fat. This restaurant is biased! The staffs have attitude and are super unpleasant. The 4 people and I were all Chinese so we spoke Chinese to them with the Chinese staff, they claim they weren’t Chinese and that they asked us for the children’s age when they didn’t and just charged us...
