This was the worst customer service I’ve experienced in Japan in my twenty years of traveling here and is an embarrassment to be included in Omotesando Hills and frankly Japan overall. As many, many other reviewers have mentioned, the positioning of the signage for dine in and takeout is quite confusing for anyone not familiar, and the staff handled this situation poorly and rudely. One particular staff member has such abysmal attitude, seemingly especially against the tourists that make up a large chunk of the clientele that shops here. That said, it is disappointing to also see many complaints from Japanese customers, as well. Furthermore, this is located in a shop targeted at families, and for their staff to harass customers in full view of other customers, staff members, and even children is a disgrace.

I immediately called out the managing staff for an explanation and was met with a mostly blasé response and a half-hearted apology. I hope this establishment is more widely recognized for what it truly is: an awful representation of Japanese hospitality.
