What the freak is happening here?!?! This place is awesome!!! My kid and I are carousel sushi fanatics and this place is that on steroids.
First the fish was really fresh. First thing my kid said was, it’s so fluffy and not stringy! 😹 The salmon melted in your mouth. They have a chopped tuna with egg yolk and OMG the flavor of that yolk was so good with the tuna. Scallops were sweet with a good size.
Second they do these fish specials every few minutes and they were a lot of fun. They ring a bell and the whole staff start yelling and screaming and clapping and like Vanna White on Wheel of fortune they strut the special around and then you raise your hand if you want it. The whole presentation was just so much fun for us. Lots of energy, lots of smiles and the “specials” were special. Had a tuna hand roll with sea grapes. Marinated salmon which was so flavorful and was like a triple size piece of salmon.
Third the staff were super cool. We ate Twenty plates, mostly ordered from the touch screen and they were so attentive and friendly. Even with my horrible Japanese and touristy ways they were patient.
My daughter says this is more like carousel signs (no sushi on signs on the carousel) but by far the best place we’ve been to so far.
Wait time could be scary but we got seated after 30minutes. They have a really cool LINE mini app that tells you when your number is called so you can wander and it tells you when to head back.
For the life of fish...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had our dinner here after visiting the Tokyo Skytree. There was no line when we went here. The food here are decent and the staff are very friendly and polite. Even though they have an English instruction on their menu on how to order, they will still teach you how to do it. Basically, they have an order form sheet and some pencils on the bar that you'll be using to list the number of the food that you want from their menu--all of their food has a number on them--and put a check on the part of having either with a wasabi or not on your sushi order. You also need to put on the form on how many orders you want for each food that you'll be ordering. I think you can only list four food per page.
After listing your order on the form, you can give it to the chef that's in front of you. They are fairly quick in making our orders. The only food that was slow to arrive was the fried chicken nuggets that my boyfriend ordered.
Since it was already late and we were the last people to go in and eat on Toriton, the chefs had stop making sushis for the conveyor belt. We had to order everything using their form.
Some sushis are delicious while some fell out of our expectation. There was also this nigiri that we ordered where the fish was really cold! They weren't able to prepare the fish in a room temperature because they were closing and the fish was already on their freezer. They just took it out...
Read moreOh, where do I even begin with this sushi place? It's hands down the best I've ever been to in Japan - and trust me, I've been to a lot. Let me tell you, it was so good that I almost proposed to the chef.
The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell - it's like a beautiful symphony of fresh fish and soy sauce that hits you in the face. And the decor? Absolutely stunning. The walls are adorned with beautiful, intricate artwork, and the tables are so clean you could perform surgery on them.
Now, let's talk about the sushi itself. Oh my goodness, it was a party in my mouth. I honestly didn't know fish could taste that good. Each piece was like a little work of art, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures that just melted in my mouth. I actually teared up a little bit - it was that good.
And let's not forget about the service. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and they even gave me a little tutorial on how to use chopsticks (I'm still not very good, but I appreciated the effort). They even gave me a free glass of sake at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch.
So, if you're looking for the best sushi in Japan, look no further. This place is a must-visit. And if you see the chef, tell him I said hi - I think I might be in love with him. Five stars, baby! (this may be an overreaction, but it’s...
