Very good ramen, and an interesting take on ramen as a course dish. When your bowl arrives, the broth is a light tonkotsu with a rich, smooth and subtle flavor. All the other neta tastes very good, and may seem overpowering the broth. It feels a bit odd, until you add the green yuzu pepper paste (it is not pepper, more close to wasabi) to the broth. Now you are in Act 2, and the flavor of the broth suddenly got a lot more complex, and the taste of the neta & broth is finally in balance. Hopefully you still have room in your stomach, because Act 3 is a plate of add-on noodles with some special sauce. Dump it into your bowl, and now you have a medium weight soy sauce tonkotsu! It's just like eating different 3 bowls of ramen in a single meal, and this is something that I have never experienced before.

Had lunch at Rokutsuki in Asakusabashi and really enjoyed it! 🍜 I tried their Special Pork Paitan Ramen (¥1,250) — it comes with a rich and creamy pork paitan soup, three kinds of chashu (shoulder loin, belly, and smoked thigh), a smoked soft-boiled egg, wonton, and menma (fermented bamboo shoots). The soup is smooth and flavorful without being too heavy, and the noodles — made in-house with roasted wheat germ — have a really nice aroma and texture. You can tell everything is made with care. The pork shoulder loin chashu was my favorite — perfectly tender and juicy. The portion was satisfying, and the balance of flavors felt just right. The restaurant is cozy with friendly staff, and it’s only two stops from Asakusa Station, so it’s super convenient if you’re visiting the area.

Atmosphere wise, it's a family run business... It was just the couple running it. Don't expect anything outside of that. The pork broth is quite heavy and thick but what's weird is it doesn't feel super salty. It's a very different bowl of ramen to what I typically prefer. I would give this place 3.5 just based on previous ramen experiences but to be more lenient since it's family run, I'm going to just say 4. It's an above average bowl of ramen but it's not spectacular compared to top rated bowls. Definitely give this a try.
