Delicious n excellent price. No need to try those fancy restaurants in nearby Asakusa district, albeit being renowned for tempura. This is a chain restaurant n you can Google search it to find other locations in town.
Second photo shows the standard order...shrimp 🍤n veggies--LOVE the pumpkin and okra. You can substitute rice with soba n udon.
Hint: They do have English menus...but you ll have to ask for one...not placed at every table. Their menu is quite elaborate...in the sense of many combos, so an English menu might probably be practical for anglophone diners.
You can also pay a little extra to have a 🍺beer🍺 included!
The only thing I didn't like was the rice--not the rice itself but I found the rice too loosely "packed". I discovered why...they actually have a rice "distributor". I saw a cook in the kitchen place a bowl under this rice machine n out pop a clump of rice🍚. Talk about automation. Japanese are the best at it!
No "shibori" or wet napkin served at this location to wipe ur hands before eating, but there is a tiny...

Ironically, the restaurant does have an English menu. I ordered a Tendon combo with a side hot soda noodle, also came with a bowl of hot miso soup, hot tea was free. The food was good, miso soup was a bit salty. total was...

Is there better quality tempura? Absolutely.

Ordering is easy in multiple languages. The rice bowls and a la carte choices are nice if you want a bite of crispy tempura.
I was not a fan of the cold soba since it felt really cold as if it was sitting in a refrigerator until ordered. It also seemed very wheat-like and not enough buckwheat.
The tendon was fine, but I wish the sauce wasn't poured over the tempura because it was no longer crispy. They offer it on the side.
Would I go back? Only if I had a craving for tempura and was next to one.
The price and cost/performance is the main...
