We are sorry to give a bad review but we've been traveling through Japan for a month and this was the saddest experience we've had. Hope this can help owners improve. We were hoping to have a dinner there. We tried 3 different dishes - burgers, skewer and stew. Burgers were unfortunately really poor. Very tiny, with pretty dry meat. Other two meals were also super small and without much taste, even like without salt. We left still hungry.
We were surprised to be charged quite a lot; the total was significantly higher than the sum of prices we saw in the menu. We were told that this was because of the 10% consumption tax. Okay... this was the first time in Japan when the menu didn't clearly state that the tax isn't included in prices. All the dozens (!) of places we've been to made it clear whether tax was included or not. Even so, our bill was higher than it should have been. The second reason given was that the wine we'd ordered was sold out so they poured us a more expensive wine. Without even telling us! We really hope this was just a series of honest misunderstandings, but we're not sure. We certainly...
Read moreIf you’re looking for an exceptional wagyu dining experience, this is the place to be! The owner’s hospitality truly stands out—he’s incredibly humble, patient, and went above and beyond to ensure we understood the menu, even using Google Translate to explain the dishes in detail. Despite the language barrier, he made us feel welcomed and valued, which is rare in such situations.
We tried the beef steak (2800 yen) and the soba with beef (1600 yen), and both dishes were absolutely divine. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful—every bite melted in our mouths. The quality of the food was top-notch and worth every yen. To top it off, we were treated to free Häagen-Dazs ice cream after our meal, which was such a sweet touch.
The cozy and homely ambiance added to the whole experience, making it feel like we were dining in someone’s home rather than a restaurant. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend visiting—both for the amazing food and the heartfelt service. This place...
Read moreFound this restaurant by chance and we are so glad we stopped by for dinner. First, the owner/chef was so friendly and very hospitable. Such great energy, which made the atmosphere that much better.
The food. Wow. We got the lean beef steak with vegetables underneath that came with 3 dipping sauces. The steak was cooked rare and to perfection and melted in your mouth. Even without the sauces, it was so delicious!
Because we were hungry and only had breakfast before coming here for dinner, we also ordered the salad which was also very delicious and we got the soba as recommended because it was his most popular dish. The soba noodles with the Wagyu and flavourful broth, was so worth it.
We had 2 drinks each, lean Wagyu steak each, salad and soba with Wagyu and our meal total was ¥10,000.
I can’t wait to come back and order everything again!
Give this place a go! It is a hidden gem off the...
